The experience was really good, the service is fine for me, however they had a delay in a phone call they make to me to confirm my purchase. And there is no an aproximate delvery time until it appears in the tracking system of the parcel service.

Would I shop this merchant again? Maybe, maybe not. I had to email Customer Service twice to have them tell me the product was on back order. If I had been told the order was on back order when I initially ordered it, I would not have worried that the order was lost in the mail, etc. I spent $91 and feel that I should have gotten better response for the amt of monies spent.

This is the third purchase of a Toshiba note book. The first was several hundred for the company I worked for. Every thing was perfect. The second was in 2004 after I retired. Again perfect operation.
The third was in May of 2009. Result was terrible! The machine came in a box with no instructions or disks. Then I went to The Toshiba store and ordered the above mentioned produts and my service and products ended costing alot more then anticipated.

Shopping was easy and fine. The only issue is that I received what appears to be 2 carrying cases, but I only need 1. Not sure how that happened, but it might be a good idea for Toshiba to make a call to the customer in such an unusual case, to make sure they actually wanted 2 carrying cases...

Toshiba uses an outside verification service to check on who you are and their data is over 2 years out of date. They won't tell you who the service is so you can't correct it. They use a phone number as verification which is not a valid identifier,and they had a cancelled landline they couldn't verify and it took a week of phone calls and emails to get them to ship my computer. I had ordered an in stock and preconfigured unit with overnight shipping because I needed to replace my current broken system FAST. It took over a week to get this new laptop. The first person I spoke to was nice but didn't do anything, then a person emailed but did not reply to phone calls or email replies, the second person I spoke wth on the phone was confrontational, and twice I filled out a customer service form that said a representative would get back to me, but no one did. I like the Toshiba product very much but will try to find a local vendor to avoid the hassle in the future. I spent hours during my work week trying to resolve this - I already had decided to switch to another brand when they finally released it.
