I ordered a iWAY 500C GPS from TIGERGPS before reading some of the very negative comments I found on line and they really had me worried! The worrying was for nothing! I requested they meet a much lower price(50.00)as they stated on their Website they would match any other price. I chose to order from TIGERGPS because they offered same day shipping (the lower price store was 3-5 day). Erica E-mailed they would meet the other price.I ordered the GPS unit on 8/04/2005 and received it (in excellent condition) on 8/09/2005. Erica was very polite and helpful when I talked to her on the phone. I highly recommend TIGERGPS.

Beware of their price match policy.
I submitted a price match for a data cable that was MUCH lower than their price. they initially approved the price match and gave me instructions to get the price match. I did what they asked, and completed the order. An hour later they called back and said there was a problem with the price match. They claimed the item was a different brand than theirs, and they could not match the price, even after approving the price match. They should have honored the price because they approved it. I would not be upset if they initially declined the price match, but they already approved it. I canceled my order as I did not want to pay their $38 when I can get it for $16 shipped. but...as they always say "What seems too good to be true probabally is". beware of their price match policy. mine was in writing and that wasn't good enough |

BEWARE!!!
This company misleads their buyers and lie to your face even when confronted! 1. First problem: they require billing address same as shipping address --- baloney! I placed my order on July 28. TigerGPS sent me an email stating they cannot complete my order because my shipping address was different from billing address. Fine, they want to verify. I called my credit card company and included the shipping address as an alternate address. I provided TigerGPS with my credit card company's telephone. They reply immediate they cannot approve my order. I call my credit card company and they say no one from TigerGPS even called them! I called TigerGPS several times and no one made an effort to contact my credit card company. 2. Second problem: they advertised the GPS as In Stock and ships in 2-3 days. I found out from calling them that it's back ordered. I told the rep (John) that their website is misleading, he justifies it as saying it will be available in 2-3 days, which is not true because the product isn't even available!!! I cancelled my order. |

Beware TIGER GPS. Very Disappointed is the only way to describe my experience with TIGER GPS. The search engine will show them with a low cost HOWEVER, unless you actually receive the merchandise, cost is irrelevant.
I ordered my GPS plus some accessories and requested overnight delivery (paying a substantial premium for the rush). Two days later, with no GPS, I called to inquire as to the status and was told at that point that the product was on backorder and would ship in 'about a week or so'. Finally 13 days after placing the overnight shipping order, the product arrived. I repeatedly emailed and even called TIGER GPS requesting that they remove the extra charges. They refused It was a simple customer service issue that has turned me into a very disappointed former customer. I suggest you shop elsewhere, perhaps pay a few more dollars and get a merchant who will stand behind their name. NOT TIGER GPS |

I ordered a gps on a tuesday with next day air shipping and it is now a week later and they still have not shipped. Site says the item was in stock the day I bought it---OBVIOUSLY IT WAS NOT.
Don't buy from them!! |

I ordered a Magellan Roadmate 700 before Christmas as a family gift. The price increased by $20 the day after I sent Tiger an e-mail regarding price match (I had overlooked the $80 rebate). I ordered by phone and was able to negotiate free next day shipping. Despite the holiday rush, the Tiger rep was courteous and pleasant. I was expecting a New York merchant to be abrasive and pushy but the Tiger rep was anything but.
The order arrived the next day, was well packaged and complete. The GPS was factory sealed. The rebate was processed with amazing speed. Even with the $20 bump I got the best delivered price (Tiger guarantees the lowest price)and I would not hesitate to order from this merchant again. |

I had the same experience as tsteele93. I ordered a TomTom GO on Saturday the 11th. On Tuesday, when I hadn't heard anything about the order, I called. I was told they were getting more stock in and it would ship the next day. I called the next day and was promised it would be here by Friday. It's now Friday and they say it would ship Monday or Tuesday next week. Nevermind that, I cancelled the order.
This was incredibly deceptive since they website said (and still says) that the item is in stock! Their ratings on Yahoo Shopping are very good, and I trusted those ratings before placing this order. Never again. |

i ordered a gps from tigergps.com 3 weeks ago...when i didn't hear from them i called...they said my gps would be mailed the following monday...it is now 3 weeks later and the latest story is they are out of stock. according to epinion, my gps is in stock... so, i would not recommend buying from tigergps.com

By far the cheapest out there. I ordered a Magellan RoadMate and it was shipped in two days, for $300 less than in stores. No-frills and easy. Well-done!
