Received a gift ordered from TigerGPS. Delivery was delayed (supposedly backorders) which seemed odd since most other internet vendors had them in stock.
After receipt, inquired about returning for credit towards a different model. According to their website, they respond within 24-48 hours - yet it took them a week, which was conveneniently after their 30 day return period. Wouldn't shop here - everything available on this website is available cheaper elsewhere, customer service is unresponsive, and they seem plenty of other negative reviews regarding delivery problems. |

I ordered two items (valued at ~$50 total) that the website said were in stock. Next day I got an email that said one was back ordered and would be available in 2-3 days. Nine days later I had to send an email because I hadn't heard anything. Next day the order shipped. But TigerGPS had put a signature requirement on the package. They said they hadn't, that the UPS driver could leave the package if he thought it was safe. (I've never had anything taken from my front porch). UPS said "No, TigerGPS had put a signature requirement on the package. Someone had to sign." I have no one to sign so I had to drive 43 miles R/T at 9:00 pm on a Friday night to a UPS center to get my package. TigerGPS couldn't have cared less. I asked for recompense for my time and gas to cover their error. No response. I cannot recommend them.

UPDATE:Tiger GPS emailed me yesterday and told me all my items were on backorder. They emailed me today and told me my items have been sent to me today. I therefore recant my previous review.

Similar to Giamatti, I ordered two Nuvi 755Ts, based on the very cheap price during their sale. It wasn't until I ordered the first one that I read all these bad reviews; however I received this first unit within 3 days of ordering it, thus decided to take a chance with ordering a second unit. When I received the dreaded email on Monday that they were out of stock and would be shipping in a week, I figured that I had been dooped, and shouldn't have ordered the second unit. Even after they provided UPS tracking info a week later, UPS only listed the tracking info as "Billing Info Received" for 4 days before I contacted their support to ask if it truly hadn't been shipped. He said it was still due to be delievered within 2 days, and it was. I still don't know why UPS hadn't updated the tracking info.
If I hadn't read the poor reviews, I wouldn't have been concerned; but the fact that I read them made me very skeptical. I would shop from Tiger GPS again. |

I ordered a gps based on Tigergps.com's Thanksgiving special. I got the Garmin Nuvi 755T for $299 using Paypal. That was over $100 less than other sites and without jumping through hoops trying to use ebay+msn search+discount coupon and waiting 2 months to get a rebate. It said in stock, ships same day but didn't. I figure with the holiday it was delayed. It shipped Monday after Thanksgiving. Tracking data didn't update but it arrived the following Monday. I think UPS is responsible for tracking issue. They shouldn't make promises they can't keep like same-day shipping but I'm satisfied.

Terrible company to order from. I paid overnight shipping for a birthday present - was not delivered. Spoke to a customer service rep named Vince and a supervisor named Mike. Very RUDE and both of them hung up on me. The supervisor stated that TigerGPS didn't care if they had my business at all.

One part of the order was delivered and the rest was on back order, and I was charged for the lot, that was BAD.
But there was no problem to cancel the rest of the order and I got that money back without any problem, that was good.

I ordered a Magellan GPS from them on 3days ago. I called first to make sure it was available he said yeah. I went to website and ordered a unit. I thought it was going to take longer, but I was shocked when on Tuesday I got a call from my brother telling me it was in. Pretty damn fast shipping.
Prices were good, infact better than anywhere else i've seen online or retail store. Will use them again for sure. I was skeptical at first, I had ordered the item from Tigerdirect and they out right lied to me, and when I wanted a unit with the same features for the same or close to the same prices they said no. So, I was happy to find out that TigerGPS is associated with Tigerdirect. Now, if they only sold computers and items like, I would give them all my business. |

I bought a Garmin Nuvi 260 based on the rating here of 4 checks. Item was in stock according to website. Clearly stated delivered in 2-3 days. After placing order I didn't hear from them again. I ordered 4 weeks before Christmas and I never got it, this was a present for my wife. TigerGPS totally ignored me and responded (sometimes) to my phone calls and emails like I was some crazy irritating customer. So I finally got it with no apologies after I tried to cancel order 2 times. I don't know what kind of games or business TigerGPS is running, but I will NEVER buy from these crooks again. |

TigerGPS is very quick to charge your credit card; They're very slow to ship the product. I called / emailed four times about my delayed order and each time I got the runaround and false promises that it would ship the following day. After the fourth time that was it.
I ended up canceling my order since I did not have any part of my order after 2-3 weeks. It did not even phase them when I canceled; Customer service skills are severely lacking. They do not care at all about the customer. I almost ran out of time for Christmas gifts; I ended up ordering from Amazon.com. I received my entire order after two days with normal shipping. Thanks Amazon for fixing a major Christmas problem; I paid a little more money, but you always know what you get from Amazon - fast shipping and very good customer service / returns policy. What good is a lower price if the company can't deliver the goods? |

I ordered a TomTom Rider V2 because I just had to have one. The prices were the same everywhere, but availability fairly slim. I also ordered the Car Mount for the device. I was told immediately, on their web site, as well as a follow up eMail that the order would be delayed because the mount was a pre-order. I waited for a week, then called customer service and asked them to split the order so I would at least get the GPS. That was done with one phone call, a email verification, along with the new order number came through. I got my GPS 2 days after that. I sent an email to TomTom Customer service asking about the availability of the Car mount and they gave me another site that had them in stock. Since it was the same price as the pre-order, I ordered it from the other site then called the customer service site to cancel the existing pre-ordered car mount. It was done in a second, with the follow up email showing my cancelled orders. Absolutely no complaints with this order.

Do your research before you buy from Tigergps.
The three GPS units I looked at from three different manufacturers had a retail price that was way over what the actual MSRP was. (up to $100 in one case) Their supposedly lower price was equal to or slightly lower than the actual retail. |

Purchased 530HCx. I did not know it was on back-order until I had placed the order. Might be good to mention that upfront. Anyway, I called and they gave me a promise date that was kept. All merchandise arrived properly packaged and complete. I also ordered a GPS carrying cases and they got the order correct. Other than the snafu about the GPS being on back ordered, I would recommend this store highly.

Will never shop here again. Have been lied to repeatedly. Ordered a GPS unit 6 weeks ago and have yet to receive it after being told it will be shipped in a couple days or next week. Was told they get the units directly from Magellan. Called Magellan and found out that was a lie. Item was listed as "In Stock" the day I ordered and has since changed to "Ships in 2-3 days", but that was 2 wks ago. Claim on their website that your CC will not be charged until shipped. Mine was charged immediately.

Read the reviews. It happened to me too. They took the money from my account. Then, after I waited a week and finally sent an e-mail they told me one item was on back order. They could have been up front and immediate about the back order. It would have saved some irritability on my part. After two weeks they do not seem to have resolved the back order and have yet to ship the order. I am trying to cancel the order now.

I was a bit hesitant to order b/c of the negative feedback posted but I took a chance b/c of the overwhelming positive feedback. I'm glad I did. Tigergps had an item that was out of stock just about at every other retailer or online site. They offered a better price and delivered to me faster than expected (and shipping was FREE!).
I received timely e-mails indicating problems with my order (my fault) and shipping info including a link to the UPS tracker. When I contacted customer service for the ordering error, they resolved within the error within minutes. They were friendly and professional. I don't doubt the negative experiences other may have had but my individual experience was stellar.... |

Very pleased with TigerGPS. On an earlier order for a GPS explorist XL it was necessary to contact Tiger via e mail. Recieved a very prompt reply from Jessica and a solution was found very quickly. She must be a valued employee. Not happy with mapsend however. Lacks detail I expected. Was interested in Topo maps at the advertised 9.99 special. Contacted Magellan and got no response.
Not your problem but magellan could learn from you.
