WHEN LOOKING AT TIGER DIRECT LOOK AT FREIGHT. AS A FORMER EMPLOYEE I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT OFTEN THE FREIGHT YOU ARE CHARGED ON A WEB ORDER WILL DIFFER, SOMETIMES SLIGHT OFTEN IN MANY DOLLARS FROM WHAT IS CHARGED IF YOU CALL THE ORDER IN. Dont believe me, call and asks for a quote w shipping. Then do orde on line. The have been playing this game for quite some time.

Recently bought 2 things from TigerDirect.com; a new desktoip computer and a Garmin 356W navigation unit. Both were the lowest price I could find for identical items and both were delivered more quickly than I expected them. I did the compartive shopping and they won out in both instances. Next time, I may just save the trouble and go direct to them for any electronics needs.

I called Tiger Direct to ask about system requirements for a product, since it wasn't listed with the product. I couldn't have been more specific, telling the agent what I had (older mac I-book, operating 10.3). '...oh yeah, it will work with that...' I was told. When I got the product, it very clearly would not work with what I had. Since it was supposed to be a gift, it was doubly disappointing. What a waste of time. If I ran a business with employees like that, I would be out of business!

I am an IT professional and have been working with computers since the early 1980's. Last two purchases from Tiger have been lemons. Both times products died at 5 weeks - one week past Tiger Direct's warranty period. First lemon was from Samsung and Samsung's customer service bounced me from department to department. Voice and email messages all went unreturn and I eventually gave up and threw the product away. Second lemon was a remanufactured Acer with non-existent warranty support from Seneca Data. Looks like I will be fixing it myself. Nothing but bricks and morter shopping for me from now on - the savings of on-line purchases are a gamble and product tends to be of the poorest quality. Manufacturers know which lots are good and which are marginal. The marginal goes to the low-budget vendors, and the on-line merchants are the bottom. Brick and mortar merchants with good return policies and good service cost more, partially because they are paying the premium for top-grade lots from the manufacturers. My time is worth too much to me to be dealing with poor quality product.

W5809553 This is my order number so everything can be verified. I order a computer system for my girl frien for valentins day 09. Onling transaction went smoothly, but after that it all went downhill. I was to now send in via email copies of my credit card, driver license and utility bill even though I paid with my visa debit card. I told them I did not feel confortable sending via email, unsecure that information. they said everybody does it. Well I had to cancel the order because I know better that to send this information in this manner. These people are very callious. I am not going to do business whit them in the future. Aslo it took 37 minuets and 3+ people to get to someone who could help me. I waited less time at Walmart to get checked out and for more $$$$ on my card.

Shopping was easy, delivery on time, it all looked good until the parts didn't fit the PC. I then discovered the big-print 30-day return policy didn't apply to my order. No doubt there is a bit of legal protection on the site that says there are exceptions, but I plan to avoid shopping withTiger Direct again.

the very first order to tiger direct involved a rebate,after two years and, getting in a class action lawsuit against onrebate.com i have settled on the fact that "don't buy anything with a rebate!" i have purchased thousands of dollars of parts and electronics from Tigerdirect, but, only using Paypal. When the phishing thing asks for the last four of your social give them 0000 or just ignore it! no problems with any thing i bought, shipping has been ups, always on time, the rebate crap only cost me 100$ but, the law suit goes on! Only called customer service once, Press one for english!

The products are good but the rebates suck. I tried to get my forty dollar rebate and it was rejected. I did everything right. I gave them my proof of purchase and mailed it in with my reciept and I was told that I didn't qualify for the rebate. I know I did because that was the only reason I bought the product because the rebate made it half the price. I will never buy from there again!

I placed a order with TigerDirect and paid over $100 to have the order shipped in 2 days. All the products I ordered showed to be in stock, but the primary piece I ordered (a rebuilt Desktop) went to back order...I called customer service and it was explainded that the product will be delevered to TigerDirect that day and then will be directly shipped night... this did not happen... They have misrepresented that the product was in stock and then lied that it would be shipped that night...I will likly be filling a BBB report for false advertisement..

The DVD burner I bought from Tiger Direct failed during its one year warranty. The company (Optiarc) gave me authorization to have it replaced by Tiger Direct. I never before had anything lost in the mail. Tiger direct lost the DVD burner and refuse to replace the bad one. I'll never buy anything from them again.

Every ten years, I order from this firm, I suppose just to remind myself that I never should. Each time, they have effectively cheated me. Their product descriptions are highly misleading, and each time, my protest has been answered by a reference to a vague disclaimer on their home page, far from the page describing the item sold. I guess some purchases from them might turn out OK, but my experience has been 100% negative.
