Not worth it.

The products are good but the rebates suck. I tried to get my forty dollar rebate and it was rejected. I did everything right. I gave them my proof of purchase and mailed it in with my reciept and I was told that I didn't qualify for the rebate. I know I did because that was the only reason I bought the product because the rebate made it half the price. I will never buy from there again!

TigerDirect misrepresents there offers just to get your money

I placed a order with TigerDirect and paid over $100 to have the order shipped in 2 days. All the products I ordered showed to be in stock, but the primary piece I ordered (a rebuilt Desktop) went to back order...I called customer service and it was explainded that the product will be delevered to TigerDirect that day and then will be directly shipped night... this did not happen... They have misrepresented that the product was in stock and then lied that it would be shipped that night...I will likly be filling a BBB report for false advertisement..

Summary: You have a 50/50 chance of receiving your item. They pass the buck faster than a game of craps. Watch your invoice and credit card bill, They like to add charges spontaneously. Google them. They have a bad reputation and they earn it.

No price is worth the headache. Use other online dealers like Onecall, Buy.com ,Newegg. Skip Tiger Direct. They are just a calling center in Miami Florida with a bunch of guys just hanging out. Really this is true. Deliver center in Illinois and somewhere else.
They have more managers than you can count on two hands and two feet. They also are “gone to lunch” quite often. You've been warned!!!!!!!!

Would not shop here again!

Terrible service.

The DVD burner I bought from Tiger Direct failed during its one year warranty. The company (Optiarc) gave me authorization to have it replaced by Tiger Direct. I never before had anything lost in the mail. Tiger direct lost the DVD burner and refuse to replace the bad one. I'll never buy anything from them again.

They don't deliver what they promise

Every ten years, I order from this firm, I suppose just to remind myself that I never should. Each time, they have effectively cheated me. Their product descriptions are highly misleading, and each time, my protest has been answered by a reference to a vague disclaimer on their home page, far from the page describing the item sold. I guess some purchases from them might turn out OK, but my experience has been 100% negative.

I almost always check Tiger directs website when I need a item for my PC. I have always got great service and speedy service from them. Tiger usually has a good choice of items and frequently they have overstock, refurbished or close out type items at really good prices.

Very disappointing

I ordered a notebook that Tigerdirect said they had in stock 11/24/2007. Because I had never dealt with Tigerdirect before, I checked on Tigerdirect chat to see how my order was doing and they said my product was on back order! I checked again and another service person at Tigerdirect chat said the product was discontinued and would never be available. My order is cancelled but my Visa has been charged and I am told that nothing can be done until Dec. 16th. You be the judge.

If I were you .... I would think twice if you are thinking for a present or something you need right away.

Had made maybe 6 orders to TigerDirect then they/OnRebate never awarded me any of the $120 collection of rebates on a $335 order of parts. Now I shop exclusively at Newegg!

Rebates with them are a nightmare and useless

I have received only one of the four rebates I filled at the same time from a Tiger Direct purchase. OnRebate claims I submitted my rebates after the deadline. Interestingly enough, one of my rebates was honored, I received a check about a week ago. I have the USPS shipping information to prove I had shipped rebates before the deadline.

A phone call to Tiger Direct told me that Tiger Direct is not related to System Max. Another phone call repeated pretty much the same information, and told me I would have to go through OnRebate as they are two completely separate companies. However, both OnRebate and Tiger Direct are owned by System Max. Both websites trace route to the same IP. Both websites have the same DNS information. Both websites have the same Registrar information!

Due to the negligence and failure with OnRebate.com I have no intention of doing business with Tiger Direct again. I honestly believe their rebate system is a scam. Buy from Newegg.com instead, they rarely have rebates, and their customer service is 1000x better. Tiger Direct is a horrible online retailer.

You get catalogs in the mail no matter if you ask them to stop.

TigerDirect has good prices, shipping and most anything you need to build computers, BUT if you buy anything from them....you'll never get off their catalog mailing list.

They send catalog after catalog, even if you complain and complain to them and ask to be removed from their list. I had to file complaints with my state's attorney general and the FCC to get them to stop sending catalogs.

Wish I could shop with them, but I won't becuase the keep sending catalogs.

Tiger direct sends tons of spam. TigerDirect sends you catalogs in the mail over and over even when you ask them to stop. It took me months to end the glut in my mailbox.

I'll never shop with them again.

NEVER USE THEM AGAIN FOR GOD'S SAKE !

They are Cheats!!! You better check your order over thoroughly. I ordered a printer from them based on an email they sent, then to find out it had to be ordered WITH a computer to qualify which was not evident in the email.
They also charged $35.oo shipping and Handling for a $200 order!!!!!!! I was dumbfounded! They never told me the cost of shipping during the salesperson's summary on the phone, though I had tried to get free shipping and in the end I was cleverly steered away from the subject. I never found out how much they were charging on the shipping until after they had shipped it, and sent the bill. I tried to cancel the order, but they refused saying it had already been shipped. (This was a sunday order that I tried to cancel as soon as I got the bill on monday). Then when I confronted them it turned out they were charging that much for the worst shipping on top of it! Nor would they rectify it.

We have ordered from them a few times over the years. Until this time there has been no problems other than I didn't think that their prices were all that great.

This time I ordered an item for a notebook computer. The item didn't work so I contacted Tiger Direct for a return and refund. Even though their item description SAID you could return it in 30 days, they told me differently when I contacted them. They said that they don't take returns on that item and to contact the manufacturer. I can't even get the manufacturer to talk to me. Tiger Direct will do nothing.

Maybe Tiger Direct hasnt' heard but there is a lot of competition out there for these products. I can definitely live without them. Low rating for them.

On-Line Integrity

Their integrity is exceptional for an on-line store. If you get the wrong product or a bad product they will take it back. They are always there at 1-800-800-8300 to take care of you. The selection is good. The sales staff is adequate but not all sales people are good with all products. It helps to know what you want rather than letting the sales staff make the final decision on what part you will order. Occasionally a salesperson does know what is best. TigerDirect is one of the few on-line stores I trust for computer parts. I have made returns in the past and they could not be more supportive in gaining my trust. I could name a few on-line stores at the other end of the integrity spectrum but you can find the evaluations easy enough. Remember, it is easy to receive a good product and feel great about it. The question is what happens if something goes wrong. Does the store have a telephone number and do they support you?
