The website was easy enough to search through, and I was lured in by Microsoft's 15% cashback offer. Boy, I'll never do that again...
What should have been a routine purchase of a new Gateway LX6810 PC turned out to be an ordeal of epic proportions, since the BRAND NEW product broke down after less than two weeks of use. This reflects badly on gateway, but also on TigerDirect, as it took over a week to receive the product to begin with. A return authorization was granted (Oh, I'm ever so grateful they decided to take back their defective product) and they were "kind" enough to pay for shipping back to them. The customer service rep even agreed to upgrade the shipping of the new exchange to 2nd day air.
That's it. That's all they would do for the immense inconvenience of a MONTH without a PC because of their shoddy product. Customer service after that has been miserable, essentially boiling down to "you'll just have to wait" followed by a click. Ship your product, wait for delivery time, since even the label they pay for is ground, which takes at least a week to get there, followed by SEVEN TO TEN BUSINESS DAYS for them to 'process' your return, before they even consider sending you a new product.
Never again will I go back here. You'd better hope your product works when you get it.
