I ordered 2 UPC surge suppressors on March 18, 2009. After waited two weeks for my order, I emailed Tiger Direct to check the status. Two days later, the CSR replied that there was a problem with my delivery so they canceled it. This did not make me happy because I needed the items ASAP. I asked the CSR if they could resend the order to me via priority shipping. The CSR told me there was nothing she could do because they already issued my a refund. I immediately checked my paypal account but no refund was shown. I waited 3 more days but no refund appeared in my paypal account. I emailed them again and the CSR responded that their records show a refund was issued. I opened a dispute in paypal and they never responded. After 10 days, I escalated it to a claim. After the claim was opened, paypal asked Tiger to respond within ten days, but once again, they failed to respond. It has been 44 days since I placed my order and I still have not gotten my money back.
Tiger Direct has cheap prices, but you get what you pay for. Most of their orders seem to workout fine, but if there is a problem, do not expect to get any customer service. This was my first and last purchase from Tiger Direct. I'll stick with Amazon and Newegg
UPDATE: Tiger Direct never responded to paypal's request for information. Accordingly, paypal decided the claim in my favor and refunded me the purchase price.
