I have enjoyed doing business with Tiger Direct. Around the holidays I bought a 22" Acer LCD. 2 days after I bought the LCD the price dropped. No problem.. I put in a request for a price adjustment that would credit me 20 bucks. So I get a response 3 days later.
"Unfortunately, according to our records the item you are inquiring about for a price match has actually went back up.The price for this monitor is $269.99.We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Thank you for visiting our website. We at Tiger Direct appreciate your business. If you have further inquiries and reply to this email, please make sure to include your entire message, so we can address it appropriately.
Sincerely,
Alana
TigerDirect.com Web Response "
Well of course if you wait for the price to go back before you respond!
So I send in proof of pricing on the day I sent in the request and this was their response. I sent it in as a GIF
"We apologize for the inconvenience but attachments must be in jpg or PDF form"
Ok Fine... So I send in a PDF and JPG in high rez. Now understand I am a web developer and I know what I am doing with images.
"Unfortunately these images are distorted and cannot be viewed correctly"
which is total bull because they were full resolution top quality images. next step... call tigerdirect customer service. talk with Leanne. She has me send the whole email thread to her. This is her response.
"The information that you provided did not state how much was the monitor. It only stated the GPS unit price. I need the actual price of the monitor. I am also unable to click the links. "
Not true its right on the page right above the GPS listing. So then I post these to a webpage so she could view them that way.
I write her back a couple times with no response then she blocks my email. I was nothing but polite the whole time and this is how they treat me. I guess none of this would have happened if I didnt notice the price drop. But man do I feel like they were just dodging. This was the last message I sent them that nobody will respond to.
"Ok... which attachment cant you open. I have a few included in this thread now.
The price was 229.99 - 50 dollar Rebate = 179.99 I purchased at 249.99 before rebate.
I did not take a screenshot of the actual tigerdirect page when I sent in the request because I assumed that you guys actually knew what you were charging on each day for your products. Also I didnt think it would take 3 days to get a reply (by which time the price had gone back up)
Why can't you guys look in your computers at what the price was on the 14th when I sent in my protection policy request.
Seriously.. what am I doing wrong here? Are you guys just trying to avoid living up to your policy. This is giving me a pretty bad taste of tigerdirect customer service. So here so you can view the "links" I will post them on a webpage so I dont have to worry about you being able to open attachments.

No more a customer of tigerdirect.
