I've made a total of 7 orders from TigerDirect.ca in total. Although they offer products at good prices and provide fairly quick shipping I have had several issues.
The first issues is with their return process. Like so many other companies, tigerdirect will generally just tell you whatever you want to hear over the phone. I must have called them ten times for one return. One call I would be told it was already shipped, another it will be shipped within 3 days, another it was shipped today. Then it just shows up the same day it supposed to ship so I thought they sent two but the support staff really just has no idea what's actually going on. In the end I did get a replacement but I was stuck with the return shipping costs which I was assured several times that I would be compensated for.
My other issue is with the rebates offered by tigerdirect. Tigerdirect does not handle the rebates AT ALL and in the case of a problem (which is highly likely) they just pass you off to someone else... who then passes you to some rebate website where your supposed to enter your name and address and your info will come up... but of course it doesn't. Then your screwed. Be warned, DO NOT buy items expecting to get a rebate because you WILL NEVER GET IT even if you do everything right. It's a total scam. I just had one declined because they claim that I didn't include the barcode, which is total bs.
Unfortunatly there are few alternatives offering similar products as tigerdirect in Canada. If you decide to purchase anything from them I'd suggest you avoid all rebates and hope that the product never needs to be returned.
