I have to recommend TD 100% to any new or experienced computer shopper looking for a great deal that comes with whole-hearted customer service behind it. I cant say this for many other retailers except Amazon and Buy.com, so I guess TD has gained my respect.
My first purchase from Tiger Direct was back in 2006 for a Linksys router that was priced lower than the local Best Buy and Circuit City, which is usually surprising since from what I have learned, the local chains always offer the best prices on networking gear and hard drives. Not in this case. I found the router for around $52. The ordering process was and still is super easy, yet secure. From my first purchase to my most recent, I have never had to wait more than 3 days before my order was shipped. Amazing.
Another aspect of Tiger that I have to commend them for is their new, highly organized website layout. It must be the easiest site to maneuver around. You can use advanced searches to narrow down multiple products and there are clear and mannerly put categories in each sub-section of the site (hardware, software, home products, etc.) If I cannot find my product by browsing the categories, a search almost always finds what I need.
Compared to other web sites that offer computer goods, even if Tiger doesnt always offer the cheapest price, I will usually buy from them anyhow. Why? Because the service that I receive and the return policy that they back is the best on the internet. Id rather pay a few more dollars and get a product from a reputable company like Td instead of getting it dirt-cheap from pops basement goods site and get the worst experience ever. At any given time I can see where my order is and when it will arrive at my door. I cant complain about this, especially since I am such an avid web shopper.
I like the fact that most orders have very cheap shipping. Every order that has gotten to my door (none are MIA and I have to applaud both TD and UPS for that) has been packaged with exceptional care and packing materials. Even the most delicate products, such as an LCD that I received from them, was a little banged up by the carrier, but surprisingly no damage was done to the monitor or anything inside of the box. You would think that because your order is shipped to you so quickly that the packaging would be shoddy, but this is not the case with Tiger. Their workers do care about their customers and this is wholly evident by what you receive at your door.
I have made about 14 purchases from Tiger over the past 2 years and none of them had to be returned or complained about. I was never overcharged, nor did I ever receive a partial shipment. At best, I will receive my package a mere 3 days after ordering it, but this only occurs if I order on a Sunday or an early business day.
If you dont believe the words of thy or the others from Epinions, please check out the reviews that Tiger has received on Reseller Ratings website at http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2121.html as well as on ratethatcompany.com. There arent many resellers who can bark this kind of customer appreciation.
