-On 07/19/07 I ordered a new humidor from Thompson Cigars.
-On 07/20/07 I called to confirm my web order at which time they told me that online orders don't process for 24-48hrs. So my humidor would be shipped today, or tomorrow,....or Monday.
-On 07/26/07 Thompson's called to say that my humidor shipped out on 07/25/07 (Wednesday) and they would like to enroll me in a rewards program at no cost to me..... BEWARE! What they are completely vague about is that they start you on a program that regularly ships you cigars on an monthly (or whatever time frame) basis and charge your credit card. This didn't become clear until I continually questioned the lady and eventually found the program explanation on the website, (which phone rep said was not on the website...)
-On 07/27/07 I called to confirm humidor was sent, because my online shipping status still says "at warehouse." When I finally got a person on the phone they said that I needed to call back because they were having a computer system upgrade. I explained that I wanted to make sure humidor was shipped because I never received a tracking number (which I was told that all orders had...) and the phone rep said that they are sent regular parcel post so just wait 7-10 days.....
Needless to say my experience has not been great with this company. Although their humidors seem nice, (we'll review that if I ever get it..) their cigar prices are nothing to cheer about as you can get better prices from JRCigars, Cigars International, and Cigar.com
