I was so disappointed with my Vermont Store experience that I wondered if my expectations were unreasonable. But then I did a Google search on "Vermont Country Store slow shipping" and found out I am not alone in my displeasure. That's how I found this page of reviews, and felt I had to add my own review.
THESE REVIEWS ARE COMPLETELY ACCURATE. The Vermont Country Store's shipping is excessively EXPENSIVE and SLOW. Their processing time is also SLOW (it took a week for them to process my order for shipping after it was placed; and it was only a bathrobe). The only way I would ever buy anything from their store again is if they happened to have an item I wanted that nobody else in the world/universe carried. But that is not very likely. IF YOU CAN GET YOUR ITEM FROM SOMEWHERE OTHER THAN THE VERMONT STORE, DO IT! Your item will arrive much quicker and cheaper, and it will save you the headaches. Here is a copy of an Email I sent them 3+ weeks after my order was placed. It sums up my feelings perfectly.
Hello, I was wondering is there is any way to track items while they are being shipped? My order # is *******. My order was placed way back on the 13th of December, but wasn't even shipped until the 20th. Unfortunately I must say that I am not at all impressed with your service and can't imagine ever purchasing anything from your company again.
You guys must make a killing off of the high shipping charges you have. I have read your shipping-charges table many times and it is a joke. $9.95 for shipping on a $59 order is fairly reasonable, but when you figure that for $9.95 you could probably get 2nd or 3rd day shipping from any other company, instead of your 6-12 business days shipping...then it doesn't seem like a very good deal. Especially considering the fact that it took a week between placing my order and before it was even shipped. I'm just glad that I didn't purchase more merchandise from your store; say like $125 or more, pay the outrageous $17.95 standard shipping/processing fee and then wait 3-4 weeks for my order to arrive. That would have really upset me.
Anyway, back to my original question. Is there anyway to track the horse or burro that is carrying my order? How does that work? Do you implant GPS chips on your delivery donkeys so that I may find out where he is? I will have fresh water and oats for him when he finally arrives with my order.
