I ordered a set of Good Years for my father's Camry. Not long after, I received a phone call from the sales rep. He began attempting to explain that even though the tires I chose meet or exceed the manufacturer's specs, they might have "adverse handling characteristics" at higher speeds. He offered for me to step up to a more expensive model of a tire to prevent the "adverse handling characteristics" from occurring. I politely declined and asked for him to proceed with my order. Apparently, that meant absolutely nothing to him as he continued to push for me to buy the more expensive tires. The conversation ended when I had to raise my voice and tell him to either ship the tires I ordered or cancel my order altogether!
I wish Tire Rack would include brands such as Nitto, and Cooper in their lineup.
The tires made it to the shop of my choice rather quickly. So to sum it all up, Tire Rack is a great place to shop if you have a limited amount of knowledge of your car's suspension. The ordering process is easy. Just make sure you don't get taken advantage of when you call them or if they call you back.
