I found this site supplied very fine products of the highest quality. I had been searching for special carving tools and was having little luck finding a variety from which to choose until I found The Best Things. Because I needed these in a hurry, I called and spoke with Lee who was very knowledgeable and helpful. As a result found not only what I was searching for but some additional related items which I also purchased.

Customer Service was great. When you call, you actually get a real person! They were out of stock on something I ordered and gave me a direct personal phone call to let me know. After that, I changed my order twice before it shipped, and they were very helpful and repackaged my order to give me exactly what I wanted. I was very pleased & will shop there again.

EXCELLENT Service provider and IMMEDIATE shipping. I had tried to obtain this Nikon charger from several other online and brick-and-mortar sellers. However, it was always Out-of-Stock and/or backordered. The Best Things Online Store had what I needed, at a better price than the Out-of-Stock sellers, and shipped it immediately. I found this company through a search on Google and took a gamble that things would work out OK. I am amazed! The price for the pen I ordered was the lowest I found on the net. The pen was shipped the same day of the order. I was notified by e-mail when the order was shipped [with the tracking number] and it arrived a day ahead of schedule on December 21st. I would rate this company a 10 out of 10 [10 being the best] on every category.
I'll go back and buy again, I am sure I will be treated as well next time!

I had a good experience here. There was a *slight* problem that they took care of immediately. Part of my order was damaged in shipping and they had a replacement in the mail pronto. This was my first order with The Best Things. I was surprised to find they had such discounted prices on the items I was interested in (woodworking tools). I ordered a Parker Pen with this merchant on September 20, 2005 with a three-day UPS delivery option. They took almost 24 hours to send me an Email with a tracking number. The delivery was scheduled for September 26. On September 23, I happily received my pen. I am ready to place another order with Best Things. They have the best price for Parker Pens

I will not repeat the common comments in most of the other reviews here, except to say I got very fast service with my one order with these folks - they shipped the day after I ordered, and I ordered in the evening.

I will disagree with the point made by the lead reviewer that these guys are mainly good only for their specialty - antiques - and you are probably better off with the big boys for mass market products. I find this often not the case. I bought a knife set for about 25% less than the amazon price, shipping included. I am buying today an appliance for 15% less. I have seen other such examples.

I also appreciate the care with which they select what they will carry. I will certainly check this site in the future before making buying decisions.

I found The Best Things by going to Google and typing in Sabatier carbon steel knives. The Best Things had listed all sizes of the knives which I wanted. I made major order(s) with them for my woodworking plane collection and found the customer service to be excellent. Additionally, the products were perfect, delivered in a timely manner and follow-up is great.

The ECE Smoothing Plane that I ordered from The Best Things Online was shipped UPS ground one day after I ordered it. It arrived two business days later. It was well packed and in good order.
