I have been interested in tools and cutlery from The Best Things and before ordering I twice asked customer service unusual questions; once they referred me to a resource in France (very helpful) and once gave me a long opinion.  All this before I had ever ordered anything.

When I did order, the service was prompt, friendly and user friendly.  The product was sent out within 24 hours and arrived earlier than promised with a tracking code.  The ordered product was precisely as advertised.

Fast, accurate service. I ordered New Year's Eve and received the order on Friday the 4th. As promised in the catalog, the hand screws I ordered are the highest quality. I didn't like the online order form, so I called them directly. The customer service is top-notch! Pleasant, friendly, intelligent, and professional. The suitcase I needed in a hurry was shipped the same day that I called and I received it two days later for half of what other companies were charging for "standard" shipping. The website was user friendly, shipping was fast and the product was what I was looking for. Customer service acknowledge my purchase and told me it was being shipped. This was my first order from Best Things, but will not be my last. I found them while searching for parts to restore my grandfather's 90 year old hand planes. They had the perfect pieces at a very reasonable price. Order placement was simple and accurate.

I like an order confirmation with ground tracking information so I can plan to receive the shipment. Best Things did this quickly, and the parts came on time.

The Best Things' part descriptions gave the information and confidence to buy, but I was ready for a disappointment. Parts for a ninety year old plane? Dell and Cub Cadet have both disappointed me on current products. However, the parts fit perfectly. All the good order process in the world is worthless if the product is not right.

This is a superb outfit. They sell genuine carbon steel (NOT STAINLESS) knives from Sabatier, which I have been trying to find for years.

The knives I ordered came carefully boxed, greased, and in double-quick time. The order was perfectly accurate.

A no nonsense experience. I went to the home page found the woodworking tools link which led me to the turning chisels and my favorite, (Henry Taylor) tools. I am completely satisfied with the product and service I received from The Best Things. Hurricane Katrina ruined my favorite 25 year old knife - one that Julia Child said she liked best - and The Best Things was the only place I found that sold it. They sent an email the next day after my online order, and the knives arrived via UPS 5 days later. You can't beat that!

I placed an order for a Sorby Spiralling/Texturing tool and a Sorby chatter tool on Monday, July 10, 2006. I paid for standard UPS delivery and my articles were delivered on Wednesday, July 12, 2006. I was expecting at least 3 or 4 day delivery time since I live in Georgia.
When getting ready to buy a woodworking tool such as above I research many web sites or stores to see who has the best prices. The Best Things had the best prices on both these tools and from what I could see, most all their woodturning tools have better prices. Also, living out of Virginia there is no sales tax. I would estimate I saved in the neighborhood of seventy dollars on these two items.
I am completely satisfied with my shopping experience.
