I have shopped at The Best Things Online Store three times and every time it has gone through without a hitch.


FINDING WHAT YOU NEED

There are 9 main categories at The Best Things Online Store:

• Antiques, Fine Art & Collectibles
• Fine Cutlery
• Housewares
• Fine Writing Instruments
• Office Products
• Woodworking Tools & Supplies
• Vintage & Antique Tools
• Power Tools & Supplies
• Recreational Products

After clicking on one of the main categories, you get a new selection. This is fine but on some of these, you have to click one of the sub-categories only to have to click more! For example, when I was searching for a Hattori knife, I start with the Fine Cutlery and then click on the type I want. This brings me to another page that gives me a synopsis of the Hattori knives and then I have to click on which series I want to view and then, finally I get to see which knives they have, which were all backordered by the way. I admit, I am an impatient soul, but they could easily cut this down a page or two.

But, what would make finding an item MUCH easier would be a Search option but oddly, they don't have one!


SHOPPING, SHIPPING & DELIVERY

I like the fact that once I locate the product, the page contains a lot of useful information. My sister LOVES her Crumbler Bag and had asked for The Headaitch, Large for her birthday. I was able to find it at a couple of sites but it was less at The Best Things, even less than at the Crumbler site!

It is nice to have the whole page covering the bags. It has clear pictures of the available colors (only four), plenty of product information and the prices clearly stated. My only complaint would be that I am unable to enlarge any of the pictures. As I said, they have multiple, clear ones but it would be nice to see more details in an enlarged shot.

To purchase the bag, simply put in the color and then quantity and click the buy button. I then get the option of checking out or continuing to shop.

Shipping costs can be a big issue with me but, I am happy to say, this is not the case with The Best Things Online Store! They only charge the ACTUAL shipping cost. That means I am only charged exactly what they pay to send the package - what a concept! To make it even better, the Crumbler bags (both the Headaitch and Skivvy Laptop) are shipped for FREE. Have to love that!

Checking out is quick - all the regular personal info is required including a contact phone and email. You ARE able to send to a different address although they do state that may delay the delivery a bit. There is sales tax added only to orders delivered to Virginia addresses. An confirmation email is quickly sent and the package can be tracked online.

Delivery is super quick, always less than week.

I like the The Best Things Online Store. It is one of those sites that carries a selective inventory and therefore there isn't a large selection but, what they do carry is always great quality. I don't like the way it can take pages to get to an item but I do really like the fact they never inflate the shipping costs. I also like their quick delivery. I am going with 4 stars, marking down a bit for lack of inventory and that there is no search option.
