As the first holiday season in our new house approaches it became apparent that although I had quite a few decorations, we were going to need more. I have always enjoyed the Terry's Village mail order catalogs I've gotten, so I headed to the website for a great selection of decor to get me from Halloween through Christmas.


Shopping at Terry's Village-
Terry's Village offers a vast array of cute, kitschy products to decorate your home and yard for almost every holiday I can think of. The items vary in price and design, although I'd say they are primarily the country look, versus formal.

The main page of Terry's Village is a simple affair that will get you where you need to go. Links down the left of the page highlight Themes like Americana, or Lodge. For The Home--bathroom, garden, etc. Lastly, shop by Holiday. The main page also features a catalog quick order box so that those who have already made their selections via catalog can quickly order online.

It's kind of nice to find that Terry's Village sells decorations for all the holidays at any time of the year. I enjoyed getting items for Halloween, Thanksgiving/Fall as well as a tree skirt for Christmas all at once.

Notably absent, Terry's Village doesn't seem to offer any Hannukah items at this time.


Picking It Up-
Once you select a department to shop in, the website showcases current top sellers, as well as sub-categories in a "patchwork" array. For example, selecting Christmas, will then bring up sub-categories of Snowmen, Ornaments, Angels, Outdoor Decorations, etc.

Product Detailing is thorough and gives measurements, materials used and any assembly required.

As you add a product to your bag, Terry's Village conveniently suggests 3 other products you can add with a click. I often find little things I like to pick up and have around for last minute gits this way.


Checking Out-
Once you're ready to check out, you'll need to create the usual user account with billing and shipping address, password and credit card info.

Terry's Village accepts Visa, Mastercard, Disover and AMEX.

Ordering is protected by SSL technology and is a Verisign merchant for your protection.

Orders are promptly followed by e-mail confirmation. Shipping notification is also sent via e-mail. My recent order was sent the next day, with a tracking number and also told me how many boxes it would be shipping in.


Delivery-
Orders are delivered to most U.S. destinations via UPS. Shipping is reasonably priced, starting at $6.95 for orders up to $25.00. The more you order, the more reasonable the pricing is. Standard and Express are the only delivery options available, and it doesn't appear that international delivery is available.


Customer Service-
Though I've never had to use it, Terry's Village offers a 100% satisfaction guarantee for 30 days. They also prominently display their customer service number on every page for easy use if need be.

I was also happy to see that Terry's Village was a Better Business Bureau member.

If you're looking for reasonably priced, casual home decor. Terry's Village is a great place to find that perfect something. Delivery is prompt, safe, and guaranteed. What more could you want?
