I bought a $600+ portable air conditioner from Target, which started to leak in a little over 3 months. Target refused to make good on this junker, saying that they were not responsible for what they sell after 90 days. So don't buy any big ticket items from Target, because if they break down, you're stuck. I thought it was reasonable to expect an air conditioner to last longer than 3 months.

Well, I read the reviews ... but after I had purchased. I sure did not experience what was said. I ordered something that was only online. I was late in ordering (Christmas decoration) and they said 3 to 5 working days to ship and 5 to 7 working days to deliver. I ordered on a Thursday and received on Monday! Now that is pretty good. I got exactly what I ordered.

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! Would not shop here again...EVER...
Last time, when I bought a heater, they sent me a wrong one. A target store wouldn't take it back. They said the item I got only worth half the price. I had to ship back to Target.com to get my money back. It took them a while to refund my money. This time, since it's been a while, I thought I would give them another try. I thought maybe that time I got unlucky. It happened again!!! When I took the item to the store to return it, they said the item I got was a wrong item and it worth only 1/3 of the price I paid for. Now, I have a feeling, they keep sending a similar item which could worth much less so that they would profit more. If they get caught, then they get caught, but no lost to them... Very DISHONEST store!!!!!! |

DO NOT BUY FROM TARGET or TARGET.COM. They run classic bait and switch scams and have absolutely poor customer service. Also note that the website and the store are unrelated entities, so when you use the website, you're just buying stuff from some offshore company.

what i don't like about target, is that right now i want to buy a crib, which is sold online, but not in store, i have to pay more than 80 $ for delivery to my house, and i don't ant to, because it is 5 minutes from my house...i don't think it is fair.
they should give the option to have the item shipped to the store, like wal-mart does, or at least carry the same items in the store! incredible! |

I ordered a ladder and was sent a mountain bike! Resolving the problem online or via 800# was frustrating and worthless. Now I get to waste more time, gas, and money Saturday morning driving to Home Depot for a ladder
then off to a Target store to hassle with the "return" and credit.

I will never order from Target online again! I ordered some clothing for my vacation and since it was so close to the time I was leaving, I had it shipped 2-day air for an astronomical amount (around $18). It did not even leave the warehouse until 2 days after I placed my order. I did not have my package for almost a week after the order was placed and I didn't have it for vacation. I also had problems awhile ago ordering furniture from Target online. The prices in the store were much lower and the online prices were way higher. I ended up ordering in the store and carting all this outdoor furniture home in my small car (in 3 trips).

I have shopped target.com a couple of times. I find their Site very user friendly, and thankfully I did not have a problem with the items because as I have read elsewhere, returning something at Target almost makes it not worth shopping at Target even though their selection is nice and their stores are clean. Every once in a while you can find a decent store clerk, but not as often if they cared about their staff providing GOOD customer service. Don't get me going on their pharmacy staff. Thankfully my insurance offers mail order prescriptions.

I would say the best online store by far.I have purchased a few items from target.com and I am very pleased. Setting up an acount with them took no time at all they e-mailed me all of my account info right away.My items have always been shipped out the next day.Target packages all of their items very nicely and in oversized boxes to prevent any damages that might occur during shipping.Their prices are hard to beat as well.very pleased you should look for something you need right now if you don't believe me.

Ordering was easy. Received a confirmation and shipping notice within 1-2 days. Package did not arrive after 2 weeks. 2 messages sent to Target.com. Replies basically said, it should come soon. After second message, Target says they will refund my shipping fee. Finally saw the package moving on UPS tracking yesterday (just picked up from facility) a full 16 days after order. I don't plan on using them again.

I've shopped at Target's online store about five times, and every time has been very easy and quick for me. There is an awesome selection of items available online, especially if you're looking for things that aren't available in stores. The shipping time is very quick, and the prices are quite good. They also have specials and discounts which are good incentives to shop online. I've always gotten exactly what I ordered, and it arrived in perfect condition and as it was represented and described on the website.

Over the past few months I have found myself at my local Target store at least once a week. There are three Targets within a five to ten mile radius of me. There always seems to be something I need to pickup or i forgot to get on my last trip. Having so many Targets so close I previously never considered Target.com. One day i wasn't feeling well and decided to give the on line store a try. While I liked the convenience of shopping from home I wasn't overly impressed with my experience. Unlike in the stores it's hard to find those great bargains on line. A little hard to determine the item you want if you know the general product but aren't sure what brand. Shipping doesn't take too long. And Target.com does offer on line exclusives that are nice. In the end I prefer the physical store to the on line one.

For years I was a loyal Target shopper. No more!! I purchased a $100 microwave just a few months ago, the 90-day store return policy expired 2 weeks ago and I discovered yesterday that the microwave has a big crack inside.
They refuse to exchange it for the same model (which they still carry) and transfer after transfer after transfer I was told they just 'sell' the merchandise, after 90-days they are no longer responsible for it!! |

I purchased 2 bath rugs that started looking shabby and the edging was fraying after just one month. I went to Target to return them (since I considered them defective and they were on sale for $40). They will not accept anything that is considered "used". I asked "what if I purchased a blouse that I wore one and it ripped?" The reply was "if it's used, we don't take it back!" I've NEVER hear of a worse return policy and insisted that I speak with a manager. The manager was contacted via walkie talkie and eventually said I could exchange the rugs for the same thing. I did this (knowing that the rugs would do wear).

Honestly compared to other major department stores, like Nordstorms, I can't say Target is not up there. It's not amazing, but if I were to be asked to either shop at Wallmart, or Target, who do you think I would choose? Wallmart, No silly, Target. Great value, ease of clean stores, easy navigation, friendly workers for the most part, and unlike Wallmart, a bit more educated.

This year was my first time experience of shopping on line at Target.
I placed my Christmas order the end of November and waited and waited and waited. Upon tracking my order and finding it had not shipped, I became concerned and contacted the company. I received an email that said my order would ship between January 11-29 of 2007. Becoming frantic, I contacted Target again to let them know that this was a CHRISTMAS GIFT and January would be TOO LATE! A company spokesman reassured me there was a mistake and my order would be on time for Christmas. Well guess what? Come Christmas morning I had NO gift for my loved one! I am still waiting! Maybe if I am lucky, I will receive in time for Valentines Day and make it as a Valentines Day gift instead. Target will not be getting my business ever again after this horrible nightmare experience. |

The only positive thing I can say about this merchant is that the phone support is good. Other than that, this store lied to me that an item was in stock and then never met the shipping date after several promises. I will never order from them again. I ordered Christmas presents for my kids on Nov. 14. I had problems with Target.com being able to process my order. For 4 WEEKS my order trickled in. During that time I continuously got emails from Target.com telling me that various items would be delayed (some it said wouldn't be delivered until January!). 5 WEEKS after placing the order I'm still missing an item. I will never order from them again.
