I love to shop at Target stores, but it is Christmas morning, and the camera I bought at Target's online store in mid November, was not delivered in time for Christmas. My daughter didn't have her big gift under the tree. We are very disappointed. I will not buy Christmas gifts from Target.com in the future.

I ordered a Eureka Smart Boss vacuum from Target.com on Mar 24th. It was said to be shipped 3-5 business days from that date. Target does not charge you for your purchase until it has actually been shipped, and as I was not seeing the charge on my account I continued to check it regularly. Getting more and more frustrated, I continued to check over the next 4 weeks on target.com. My delivery date changed several times and was pushed back until sometime between April 27th and May 13th. I then received an email on Thursday, May 7th, stating there was yet another delay and if I had not received my vacuum by June 13th to contact them. When I logged on to my account to cancel my order, the estimated delivery date had changed AGAIN to July 17th!!! I couldn't believe it!! Do they really expect people to wait 4 months for a vacuum? Needless to say I cancelled my order and vow to never purchase anything from target.com again.

I purchased Britax carseats that were on sale for a great price. Needless to say, the order was cancelled since they were mispriced online. I then discovered that Target sent out ecards to people who purchased them - just not all of the people! I did not qualify for the $25 ecard since I purchased 4 seats. So, instead I got no carseats, no ecard and no service...

Awful experience. We were in Target looking for a particular toy for Christmas. They did not have it and told us they would not have it until after Christmas, so we went to Target online and ordered the item with hopes that it would arrive before Christmas. We happened to be in the same store the next day, and they had it, so we bought it. Upon going to my online Target account, I found out the the item would not even be shipped until a month later, so I decided to cancel the order. They do not give you the option to do that online. I called customer service and they REFUSED to cancel the order. They said all we could do was accept the package, take it back to Target and get our money back. That's ridiculous. I asked to speak to a supervisor. The rep allowed it, but said he would tell me the same thing. After a 15 minute wait, the supervisor agreed to cancel the order and refund my money that instantly went through my bank account. We will see if it really happens. Terrible customer service.

I ordered two presents for my niece on 10/22/08. Four weeks later, the first present was "out of stock". What's the point of online shopping if they don't know if it's in stock. The second present (Christmas gift) is now delayed until Feb 5th. Keep in mind, it's two weeks before Christmas and now I'm scrambling for a gift to order cross country.

Horrible Customer Service, Horrible Return Policy...
They dont tell you that even if the products are in the original boxes and wrapping, you cannot return the items even for store credit if its more than 35 dollars. So, basically, if you buy someone a gift or recieve a gift bought From Target and want or need to return it, you are screwed if you dont have the reciept. Huh, well I thought thats one of the reasons people buy from reputable places to begin with. Well, we wont be buying from Target anymore. I'll drive a little farther and go to WALMART. |

target is a great store. The one time I had a mishap with one of my orders, they took care of it promptly. My order was sent back by our imcompetent postmaster. I was pretty upset because these items were for my daughters birthday. When I called customer service and told them what had happened, the very nice lady on the other end of the phone went through my order with me item by item to see what was still available. Then, she upgraded me to two day delivery (so the ups would bring it) for free! I just don't know where else you are going to recieve service like that. Many times when I read complaints about a store, it's the customer's fault, or they are just not satisfied, even if a business has resolved the issue. The people who complain about target's shipping should know that target often runs free shipping promotions. Most people have never been in business for themselves and don't know how difficult it truly is. Things are going to go wrong, it's how a place deals with these things that matters to me.

I ordered a small shelf unit to hang on the wall in my bathroom that cost $44.99 BUT.....the shipping cost was $25.00!!! I cancelled my order because of the high shipping cost. Does Target really want to sell online??? Other big online companies do not charge these unreasonable rates and many ship for free. Target's criteria for reduced or free shipping is next to impossible to meet; too restricted.

Target has a horrible exchange policy. I just had a baby shower and received a duplicate gift from target. The item had a Target sticker still on it but they would not take it back! Do not buy any gifts from target because unless you have a receipt they will not take it back! Customer service can not even work with the customers on this. I work in retail at the headquarters of a major retail company and am outraged by this. You should not waste your money in this store!

I have been a loyal customer of target,since opening in Spokane Wa. (Many years). I own my own business and have been shopping on-line for over two years. I recently was shopping on-line and accidentely ordered a crib, we were just looking. An hour later I realized it when I got my email. I called immediately. I was informed I would have to receive it and then later return it to the store.
Needless to say we decided to keep it when it arrived since I had to pay $90.00 in shipping charges. We received it two weeks later. It was defective and damaged from shipping. I took it in to exchange it and was told that target on-line would NOT approve it. Had to ship it back,confirm the return, and then they would send another.The baby wont need one by the time we could get it again! I will not shop on-line target again. Huge hassle and not worth the time of day. |

I purchased a portable baby stroller from Target for a baby shower gift (my granddaughter was registered with Target for her baby shower). The stroller cost $49.95. I was charged $24.99 for shipping and handling. (I chose "standard shipping" -- no special "hurry up and get it there". It is supposed to be delivered in 2-3 days.
I consider this outrageous and will NEVER order anything to be delivered from there again. I, unfortunately, was not paying much attention to the shipping charges until I had placed to order. However, I had wanted her to have something that she really wanted and since she was register at Target, I decided to find something on her list to order. And since I live in Florida and she lives in Arizona, I thought shopping the Gift Registry was the right thing to do. Had I been paying more attention, I would have taken note of the brand name and shopped further online for a better deal. Live and learn. To add insult to injury, Target does not offer a "message" to be added or "gift card" to be included with the delivery. |

I bought a GPS navigator from Target.com on sale. The item was defective. I called Target.com customer service to exchange it. They said they do not do exchanges and that I would have to just return it and repurchase it at the new higher price. I argued on the phone with the representative for an hour. I even asked to speak with a supervisor, but they never transfered me to one.
I then filed a Better Business Bureau (BBB) complaint. Target told the BBB that they never told me I would have to pay the higher price! Stay away from this company. |

Target Guest Registry Wedding:
Never register with target unless you know you will not have to return something. We were told that their policy was to return items for store credit as long as the item was on the gift registry with or without a gift receipt. This was also the policy when I worked in Guest Services. But SURPRISE, when we actually went to return the items, the policy had changed and you cannot return anything over twenty dollars without a gift receipt and the items under 20 can only have two returns within a year. The representative the first time either lied to us or the policy has changed since, either way, it doesn't seem legal. We tried talking to guest relations to no avail. I would suggest walmart, Bed bath and beyond, or belk who have a no hassle return policy for their registries and items purchased as gifts. |

My daughter enrolled in their "Baby Registry" program for her first child. She received duplicates of gifts she had selected because of Target's inability to post timely registry purchases. Then, when we tried to exchange those duplicate gifts, the store manager told us it is Target's policy NOT to exchange, refund, or even put the credit on a store gift card!!! They would need the receipt, or the credit card from the giver--like that's NOT rude!!! It's soooooo EZ 2 exchange items purchased from Wal-mart--we will ONLY use Wal-mart in the future!!! We haven't had ANY trouble, or problems getting Wal-mart to refund items purchased there. |

I purchased an item listed as in stock from Target.com on Nov 26. To date (Jan 13), I have yet to receive it. This exceeds the estimated ship date by several weeks now. When I called and inquired about the delivery status, the customer service representative could provide no specific information. Further, I received an email about two week later, asking me to agree to extend delivery until mid-March although the item is readily available on the Internet from other vendors as well as in many retail stores, including Target. As a result, I am completely dissatisfied with service from Target.com. And I do not recommend this vendor; buy elsewhere.
