I am sometimes disappointed about the quality of certain ceramics, particularly the Italian ones...bad glazing. In the past if I received broken pottery items, they were very good about replacing; but the last things <small Italian pitchers> were just bad quality. <They might not have been literally the last items purchased...I simply cannot remember>

Receiving the email notice of specials offered, I was able to quickly process the order and not worry about having to go into the store. I received my order without any problems, and in time for the holidays. The online SurLaTable emails, allowed me to decide on a purchase/gift without much thinking...1-stop shopping which I like very much.

Only disappointed in the packaging of the knife. Cheap plastic and unacceptable to give as a gift. Needed to remove it from plastic shell and repackage to make it appear it came from Sur La Tab. I expected it not to look like it came from Bed Bath and Beyond and anticipated a classy box. Very disappointed.

The telephone number to customer service went to some answering service who turned out not to be a correct customer service number. There were no recommendations on the size of plates that would fit the plate server and so I had to find the number to an actual store to ask and it was such a pain I almost didn't even want to order. I more than likely will not shop online at this store because it was supposed to be handy, and the online site has poor item descriptions, not enough info on things. The cookie cutters came in 2 pieces the middles not attached. Okay, this was not mentioned online, more pieces I have to keep track of and a pain in positioning while cutting the cookies out. Not a good experience for me. sorry.

All fine except they didn't honor the price in their November catalog on December 3. We hadn't received the December catalog (didn't even know they printed them monthly). Their website price didn't match the catalog. Kept us on hold for over five minutes. A big pain.

When I had a problem they basically told me there was nothing they could do about it so I returned the entire order. It was not as it appeared in the picture and part of it was broken becuase it had not been packaged properly to ship (no padding or bubble wrap at all on totally ceramic items. When I got their reply, I just returned the entire order and plan to dispute it on my credit card it they do not credit my account properly.
