Worst internet purchase experience ever - Stepper Superstore

Worst internet purchase experience ever - ordered $1600 plus equipment from this merchant on 1 March;  Credit card charged on 3 March;  Supposed to ship in 1 business day".  As of 17 March: equipment not received and website shows "not shipped";  No notification of delays;  no response to 2 e-mail inquiries; no response to 2 phone calls - was told managers not in when I called;   Request for managers to call have gone unanswered. Aside from purchase confirmation, there has been no notification at all for any reason. I cancelled my order on the website - but no confirmation of the cancellation provided.  The rep I spoke with today seemed very concerned and said she would get it resolved.  I will provide an update.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS MERCHANT

I had a very similar experience to the other shoppers.  Took the money, no update on the web site as to the status of my shipment, multiple attempts to reach them went unanswered: I called them 4 times and each time was transfered to an indefinite hold line ("your call is very important to us....") where I waited for up to 15 minutes with no one responding.  I used the web site to submit several requests (including cancelling my order) and never got a response.  Finally I asked my credit card company to dispute the charge and then the web site was finally updated with a shipment code.  When I click on that, it's a bad web page. 

Try googling Mercantila which is the company that owns this storefront.  You will find numerous allegations of fraudulent behavior.  So far, I am still waiting for my product.

I WOULD NEVER USE THIS MERCHANT -- STAY AWAY.

Substandard customer service --not an Amazon!

Online ordering process seems fine. Product selection looks good, and the pricing was very competitive when I compared it to other internet sites.
BUT
Similar problem to other reviewers - quick to take your money but very slow to inform you. After noting that the estimated shipping date had passed, I sent an email asking for status. When no one responded within 24 hours I called the company and did speak with someone who spoke perfect English (sounded Canadian). He tried to reach the "manufacturer" to find out the status but was unable to do so due to a time difference with the west coast.
I asked that my order be cancelled if it wasn't going to ship immediately. The service rep said that he would arrange for that. He was pleasant and cooperative, and hopefully will do what he says.
Overall, I would not order from this merchant again given the long delay in shipping and the failure to communicate in the interim. I will post again if further problems occur.

I ordered a stepper from the Stepper Superstore and my money got taken right away, but still no stepper, am unable to check my order, the person who has my order info was "talking to someone else" (and by the way, Customer Svc. appears to be in India) so I had to leave a message in her voice mail and the website for checking one's order said it was down as of Feb. 2 (I placed my order and have an order number, etc. as of Feb. 8th).
I am feeling like I may have been scammed. I will see if anyone gets back to me.
I'll follow up shortly, but don't order a thing through this company (all the stores are under Mercantila) until you hear back from me.

Watch out for Mercantila whom is the Stepper Superstore's billing company !!!!

Ordering from Stepper Superstore was painless - but beware if you have a billing problem. The folks at Mercantila whom Stepper Superstore uses for billings cannot speak English well enough to get anything done. After several phone calls and about 2 hours of my time I'm still not sure anything was accomplished with a simple billing problem. I ended up cancelling my order (I HOPE).
