As time goes on, I find it harder and harder to find ink cartridges for my all in one printer. So, last time I needed to shop for ink, I found Staples.com had the kind of ink I used, even a generic Staples brand that cost even less! So, I decided to give it a shot.
True, I have tried those recycled ink cartridges, and there was only 1 that I had a problem with (which ended up with a ruined pair of pants and a very peeved me), I still liked the recycled cartridges because it was better for the earth, and I didn't see a substantial loss in ink quality, plus they were a lot more affordable.
Anyway, shopping at staples.com is really easy when shopping for ink. Let me mention first that Staples does participate in the Ebates program where you can receive a portion of your purchase price back, which is always nice. As for the site setup, it is simple, I just clicked on the tab that said Ink and Toner, then selected the Canon brand, then was taken to a list of Canon printers and I then selected my model, then I was taken to the page where they had all the ink cartridges. Pretty simple, I'd say.
The Staples brand of remanufactured ink cartridges is priced at about $2 less than the Canon brand, and since it is a little more earth friendly, I decided to go that route again. I loaded up my basket with all my printer goodies and checked out- they accept all major credit cards and while I didn't have to pay anything for next day delivery, I did have to pay tax, which was about $5 if I remember right. My black cartridge (the bigger one I use) was $17 whereas the name brand is $19 and the color cartridges which is a set of four the Staples brand was $38 whereas the name brand is $54.
Next up, I got an email saying my order had been placed. I ordered my items on a Friday afternoon, and come Monday morning I got a knock on the door with a nice little man who was holding my box of printer ink. When they say next day that's what they mean! I was really surprised it came the next business day despite me ordering in the afternoon.
As for the Staples brand ink, I haven't had the leaking issue like I did with another recycled brand I tried, and like I mentioned before, I haven't had a problem with the color copies being any less in quality. So overall, I'd recommend the store as well as the ink.
