I'd wanted a "Tammy flattening gel" by Sovage since I first learned it in the Red Book magazine (weight-loss products in the article), but it was over $100/tube ($119 retail price, I think it was), I even saw it in the Victoria's Secret catalog earlier this year, Victoria's secret often allow us use coupon ($15 off for $100-$149 purchase, or free shipping for order over $100, and S&H for order $100-$150 is approx $15), but usually they do not allow us to use both ($15 off or free ship), so even if you can use $15 off, you still have to pay $15 for S&H, and if you want Free S&H offer, you have to forget about $15 discount, so whichever you apply, the product price still $119 plus tax at Victoria's Secret. the offer is useless, no effective to get it cheaper, so I forgot about Victoria's Secret to buy the gel, and I kept looking for a better deal.
3-4 months ago, when I checked weight, it was heavier than I thought, then I thought I really had to try the Tammy Gel right away, then searched for the stores who carried the product and checked price at each store. Actually price was the same at most stores, then I also checked if those stores had discount offers with online coupon web site, then found the coupon for Skinstore.com, the coupon was for 20% off any item, I decided to visit the store, their price of the tammy gel was $119 also, but with 20% off coupon, my price was $119.00 -$23.80=$95.20 under $100!! and yet the Skinstore offer free shipping within 48 states in USA, so all I had to pay was $95.20, no more than that. it really was helpful. Not only the coupon and free shipping, they did not add sales tax on my total (I think only CA(?) residents have to pay for tax), and yet by creating acct on the web site, I can automatically collect points for every purchase (1 points/$1 spent), they allow us to redeem the points to $30 Gift certificate for future purchase when we collect 300 points minimum.(so if you get $30 GC and use it when the store offer coupon, you can buy any item a lot cheaper), also the Skinstore has participated some reward programs (such as Memolink), so if you are member of such program, you visit the Skinstore via such reward program site and shop, then later you can get reward points for your reward program acct as well (it also help you to collect points to redeem GC, cash, prize etc on the reward program site), so it's like double points system. Great!!
But the products Skinstore carries are mostly expensive skincare products, so I can't shop so often. Only when I am looking for specific item. most the same brand products you find at Sephora are also available at Skinstore.
Also the store surprised me when my order arrived. they enclosed a pretty blue mesh pouch filled with samples (shampoo, facial scrub tube, eye cream etc..), I always enjoy such free gift. I really would like to shop with this store more often (but.. my budget allow me to order at "Avon" class store in reality..), anyway if you can afford expensive staff, I highly recommend the Skinstore.com.
