Sierra Trading Post is an amazing online merchant. The prices are awesome! The selection is less than adequate and I've had to return a number of articles of clothing b/c of misleading descriptions or sizing incongruity. Jackets were HEAVY....search was for "light, warm". Jackets expected to fit fine were snug. Pants expected to be too small fit perfectly!! It's basically the need for 'returns' that have 'gotten to me'. Another person would likely not have this experience at all.

i placed an order valued at around $300 dollars. i first tried to use paypal to pay for my order and they told me that they were incapable of having it shipped to any other address other than the billing address paypal had with me. stupid but ok...   Read full review...

Shoes arrived in a shipping envelope (?), which was torn open on one end, and the box was dented. The shoes, amazingly, were both in the box, and seem to be in good condition. I did contact the merchant to report the condition of the package, and received what seemed to be a standard "non-answer" form email. I have purchased shoes from other online vendors, which arrive in a box around the shoe box, usually with paper or other packing material around the shoebox, and free shipping...given that I paid a $9.99 shipping charge, I expect better packaging!

Don't buy from this seller.  You will get "seconds" without them telling you.  Plus is you return stuff, they cut you off AND they charge you a returned merchandise fee that they don't tell you about before you buy, and it's not listed on their website.  AVOID!!!

Appreciated the live chat, the customer service rep was very patient in explaining what was going to happen & how to make the replacement order for the exchange (the original ordered sandal had a defect on the left inside heel).
