I have been ordering from Sierra Trading Post for years and I love this place! 

The merchandise is good quality, name brand and the prices are exceptional.  If it is a second, it will be clearly noted.  Most merchandise is first rate, maybe the previous year's overstock, but not always. 

I have bought Columbia jackets, LaSportiva, Asolo and Lowa hiking boots, to name just a few.  If you are an avid hiker or outdoors person, you certainly know these quality brands.  For example, I got a pair of LaSportiva boots for my son which retailed at $190.  Sierra had them for $109 and then I had an additional coupon, bringing the price down to $76! My son did his research and found that these were the current model and not even last year's. 

I also order many of my own shoes and boots from Sierra.  They have excellent brands, including many European brands that I could not afford at retail price.  The disadvantage, or course, is not being able to try them on (as with any online shoe purchase), but I have gotten to know which brands work for me and I have only sent back (I think) one pair in all the years i have been ordering.  Brands I like are Josef Seibel, Dansko, Born, Lowa (hiking shoes), Bandolino, Ecco and Teva (sport sandals)

Customer service is excellent and if you ever need to send something back, the credit is done quickly.  Shipping is also very quick and sometimes there is coupon for free shipping. 

I have never had a problem with this company and have been very satisfied with almost everything I have ordered.
