I took a week to do research about shopNBC (shopNothingButCrooks) for a computer. Spoke to customer service (3xs) prior to purchase, specifically re: complaint that shopNBC charges your card THEN does credit check. ShopNBC said its not a credit check, they check to see if you have enough $ in your bank acct. and you wont be denied as long as there is $ in the acct. WRONG, they took a payment via Visa 1st, then cancelled my order later (via an email you cant reply to stating "we are unable to process your order." call 800-852-5711 [recording]). This was after they stated the computer was being shipped on April 30th.  Huh? Now my $ is held up until the auth is released? Poor Business.  Is there a benefit in charging/keeping customers$? Can they actually report they have more customers then they do to vendors? or does it initially run their on screen totals up for an item so people run to the phones to buy it? Is there a secret accual of interest multiplied by #of cust.? Either way, shopNothingButCrooks (shopNBC) is a Shady business.  They could have disclosed the details of their ValuePay policies instead of playing word and other games (...not telling customers about the credit check) when I asked them via phone and email before I became a dissatisfied non-customer. Sad. Im better off, I can purchase the computer in total but, what if I had purchased a shady product from a shady company? Lesson Learned: 1 complaint is enough to STAY AWAY!
