I tried to purchase an engagement ring for my fiancee recently. I tried to do the purchase from india with my international credit card. First when I called the phone order facility, one representative tried to help, half way, the call got cut. Again I called and another guy attended my call and as I was talking he put me on hold and rudely I think the call was put back onto the call queue and I had to wait more to just get another representative to help, he tired to but half way again, I told that my billing address is in india and the shipping address is to my girl friends address in the US. Then he told that he has to check up with someone whether this could be done and after a minute came and told, we cannot do the processing at all. I was soo disappointed that I could not place an order even on phone and thinking of its such a big business site, which doesnt even have a phone orderdering facility to order from anywhere. Then I somehow came to find that the same ring can be bought through amazon and ordered it. It was actually sold by shopnbc, though the transaction went ok with amazon, shopnbc just rejected my order even through amazon. It is sooo ridiculous that I could not do a transaction to buy a ring with an international credit card. Now I am reading soo much of negative reviews about this site and am feeling maybe it was better I didnt need to do that business.
