Products and Delivery are good, but BAD SERVICE

I bought several items at Sheplers Online Store. The price was ok, the items were also fine, delivery was quick - but I am looking for alternatives. Customer Service at Sheplers ist not very good. I asked them to put the shipping costs on the outside of the package (plastic sleeve or stamp) as well as the bill. Without this German customs place a mandatory "punishment" fine on the product. Automatically up to 80% of the product value is added as "Shipping costs" - this leads to an incredible hike in Value Added Tax und Customs. I almost paid as much for customs/VAT as for the product itself. This would not happen if Sheplers would just place the shipping price on the outside of the package. That's would even little online shops at ebay do without any trouble. Shepler's answer to my polite request to change their "policy"? "We are not responsible for international customs and import charges. Please check with your local customs office for fees etc.,." Well that is exactly the point: That's what I did, the answer was reported to Sheplers. But instead of a simple solution to constructive criticism all I got was a silly answer. Most of my friends in Germany are now ordering from Ebay and other online shops. It is a little more time consuming but much less expensive in the long run.
