Shari's Berries

I ordered Shari's Berries to take as a treat to a Superbowl Party.  The package arrived exactly when they said it would and was in great condition.  They are very careful with the packing. 
The berries were absolutely delicious, fresh and flavorful. 
I had ordered an additional four dipped pretzel rods which were missing.  When I emailed them about it, I received a VERY prompt, courteous response.  They more than made up for the mistake with awesome customer service. 
Bottom line -- Berries A+, Dipped Pretzel Rods A+, Customer Service A++
I have already ordered from them again for my dad's birthday.

My experience was awful. Their website doesn't work well when trying to get information about shipping rates or entering voucher #'s. The website is designed to just kick you to the payment portion without really verifying what's going on. They made me authorize a paypal account before even giving me my total, and then had problems even processing the paypal payment. Unfortunately they did this after my voucher expired so my entire order was messed up completely. When I tried to contact customer service, I was forced to talk to a well meaning but technically inept associate who deleted the order that did not go through (therefore erasing my price history). Then he could not get a supervisor on the phone with me because their policy is to do a callback later in the day (like I have time to do this for a box of freaking strawberries).

They claim there was a "computer glitch"  and UPS never picked up the order. They never notified me by email or phone.  NO Christmas berries for parents! Customer Service seems very POOR. I had to call to find out where the order was, and they apologized and only offered to refund the shipping.  Mistakes happen, understandably, but c'mon at least notify me so I can make arrangements with another berry company.  I ordered a week in advance for delivery on Dec. 22, they had plenty of time to get out another shipment, but it seems they didn't want to.  They must have taken more orders than they could handle. The CS person really didn't seem concerned.  I wouldn't have even tried them if I didn't hear about them on the Rush Limbaugh radio talk show.  I'm letting everyone I know not to order from them.

I ordered the half dozen dipped berries for my sister on her birthday which is June 18. When the berries initially arrived, they were not fresh and had started to rot. She called me and said she could smell them before she even took them out of the box.  I contacted customer service and they promptly sent out another batch. The second batch arrived sooner this time, but in the same condition. My sister took pictures of the berries and sent them to me. I was very disappointed that my gift did not arrive the way I had hoped. Not sure what is going on with the delivery/packing of the berries, but I will not be ordering from this company anymore.

I ordered strawberries for Mother's Day and cherries to follow up the next month.  It is a tradition for me to send more than one month of presents to my mom.  The order took just fine and said that one would be delivered before Mother's Day and the other on June 3, just as I requested.

What a shock when I received an email saying that I ordered June 3, but I must have meant Easter, so they were changing the date to May 6 (well past Easter.)  I emailed back within 40 minutes and was told that it was too late to change their change to the shipping date.  After some back and forth, they said they would ship another set, free of charge, on the original date.  

Next day, I receive an email, saying that I ordered June 3, but I must have meant Mother's Day, so they would be shipped on May 6.  

I give up.  My mother will get some chocolate covered fruit at whatever time the company feels like shipping it.

I will never do business with this company again.

I love love LOVE strawberries and really love chocolate covered strawberries.  I ordered a dozen for Mother's day and will NEVER order Shari's Berries again.  They arrived on Wednesday, I was home when they came and put them into the refrigerator immediately. By last night (Thursday) the strawberries were "turning" and this morning they are really beginning to spoil.  Not good!

Shari is one sneaky woman! Just purchased a half dozen dipped berries for, drum roll please. $42.97!

How is this you ask? The berries were $19.99 then I found a coupon code on-line for $10% off, bonus saved $2. Went through the check out process wanted them delivered prior to mothers day so Saturday delivery, they didn't deliver on Sunday. Thought it was odd that there was no mention of shipping for the entire check out process. Should have been my first warning. Entered all info clicked submit then on the confirmation page the total finally showed up. $17.99 for the dipped berries, $14.99 shipping, and $9.99 for week end delivery!  What a rip off there was no mention of shipping until you were all through and the order was paid for. 

Fool me once shame on me, I guess. At $7 a berry I hope they taste good.

i dont usually write reviews for products, but i have to take time out to write this review. I AM TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED with Shari's Berries services. I placed a order with Shari's Berries on 3/5/11 with the understanding that my order would be shipped out to husband as a gift. They gave me the run around, so I placed another order only to receive the run around again. I decided to give them a try again after receiving the berries for valentine day. The berries was begining to melt because of me receiving the berries @ 8:30pm on 2/14/11. As i was placing a new order i informed the customer service rep of this only to be told that i need to call back once i receive the new order if i had issues. Long story short...I WILL NEVER order from Shari's Berries again!!!!!!

If I could give 0 stars i would. Shari's has "guaranteed" delivery for Valentines Day. Well this year it was on Monday. My husband never got the the berries I sent to his workplace. When I called this company on Tuesday about the missing shipment, they informed me that the berries were due to arrive on Wednesday- 2 days after Valentines Day. They did give me a refund, but they are unreliable and I would never order from these people again. The customer service rep was completely uncaring that this wasn't delivered. This is what I chose to do for my husband for Valentine's Day! A little concern would have been appropriate, the product as "guaranteed" would hve been even better.

I ordered the dozen swizzled berries and dipped cookies and was very disappointed with what was received.

First, the juices from the berries were running all over the package.  Even though what appeared to have been a cold pack to keep the package cold, it was not.  The package did not sit outside since we answered the door when they showed up.  So we have to wonder whether or not it is safe to eat the product.

Second, about half of the berries had no chocolate on them.  From the picture on their website I expected chocolate to be on all the berries not just some of them.

All in all I would not recommend using this company until they improve their quality control process and master the task of keeping food products cold while being shipped.

Negative experience-misleading advertising. My 19.99 chocolate covered cherries with free shipping (which i later learned I had to join freeshipping.com to get it, (join a club!?) turned into an unexpected credit card charge of 52.96!! I was unpleasantly surprised by my confirmation email I received this morning. The 9.99 shipping for 2-12 delivery was not disclosed. (nor were the hoops I had to jump through AFTER THE ORDER WAS PLACED.)  Shari's Berrie's customer service people were unwilling to help resolve this and make any adjustments to my 52.96 total!!  DON'T ORDER THROUGH THEM!  I hope the candy is better than the reviews I've read so far!

For paying a hefty $59.00  I expected the large strawberries featured in their advertisements. This was not so, the strawberries my mother received for Mother's day were half melted, late on delivery and were pathetic in stature. I am never using Sheri's Berries again, all hype and no substance.

I ordered 6 strawberries on 1/25/09 to be delivered on 2/13/09.  However, they didn't make it to the fed ex location in time and they are sitting in California right now, rather than being delivered to Kansas City.  I must not be the only customer being effected by this because their customer service line is so jammed with calls I can't even get through.  So disappointed that I ordered WEEKS in advance and they can't get the order there on time.  I paid almost as much for the berries as I did for shipping and this is what I get?  I'm getting my money back is what I'm getting.

Final Straw! My delivery to a 15 yr old girl in hospital was not delivered. No one called me. Driver stated hospital said she checked out - not true according to hospital. Why didn't they call me? Don in the call center said he could not put the delivery on the top of this list for next day and was extremely rude - he asked me what was going on, I attempted to explain and he cut me off saying 'stop! just stop!' This is not their first mishap - never using them again. My boyfriends valentines delivery was 5 days late - no one called me. My Canada delivery went to CHINA - no one called me NOR did anyone attempt to find the delivery or offer credit - I got it back three months later - my thank you to my vet had the wrong order - I referred a friend to pick up product in the store - the cookies were so hard you couldn't even bite into them. Disgusting. I do enjoy the concept of dipped strawberries and will seek out competitors who strive for customer service!

I sent a dozen fancy berries to my chocolate-covered-strawberry-loving son and his girlfriend in boarding school, who were buried in snow. The fancy berry package was on sale and seemed to be a good value. I found the Shari's Berries online site to be a breeze to use; the gift arrived the day after it was shipped, and the recipients raved about the size of the berries and quality of the chocolate. In fact, they were rated 9 out of 10 stars by these two 18 year olds, who wiped them out in one sitting! I'm disturbed to read such varied reviews b/c I'd like to use this company again. Maybe they just have a consistency problem or an old problem that has been corrected. I'd like to hear the company's response. My order, however, went off without a hitch and was a great surprise in the dead of winter.

When they first opened years ago, this was a great company with a quality product. My most recent order was a disaster - arrived late, poor quality (small berries, sloppy dipped in chocolate, cookies horrible, etc). Tried to reach customer services many times and phone line was always busy and they never returned emails. Very POOR customer service! Not worth the high price!!

Used them for years. This Valentine's day, ordered three gifts to different addresses in January. Received confirmation next day. On Feb 11, they called to say that they would have to substitute cookies for the cheesecake. Ok. However, none of the gifts were received on Feb 13th as confirmed. Tried to call all day on Feb 15th. Finally got through only to wait 20 minutes and then get a recording to leave a message. Message has never been returned nor has email. I am done.

Unbelievable in every way! I have given these as gifts and been utterly delighted to receive them. The simplest of their offerings is incredible: delicious, gorgeous, beautifully presented. I was so pleased that my company got an account to give Shari's Berries as corporate gifts. No one could possibly not love these berries unless they hate strawberries or chocolate! The fancier holiday and special occasion themes are darling as well...I have given the St. Patrick's day green ones as well as the Tuxedo gift style. These berries are an unforgettable gift and the Shari's Berries company and staff are examples of what quality customer service is.
