Our kitchen blinds just arrived yesterday and I am extremely happy with them. They were packaged very well and came in perfect condition. They fit the window perfectly and are GREAT quality. Selectblinds.com had the best prices I could find on the web so I wasn't sure what to expect about the quality but I was more than impressed. We ordered the 2 inch faux wood white blinds - they look fabulous. They were easy to install with great directions and everything we needed for both inside and outside mounting was included. The blinds look great and didn't break the bank. I've already placed another order for more blinds!

Select Blinds did not manufacture either of my two roller shades wide enough to fit the windows. Customer service insisted I must have measured my window incorrectly if they barely touch the installed hardware brackets. The window measurements proved to be the same as I submitted. I just gave up in frustration and will eat the cost of the shades and buy more from somewhere else. Too bad - the quality and look of the roller shades are great if they were wide enough to stay up in the window.
I also purchased them on a promotion that guaranteed delivery by Halloween. They arrived late. |

I will not buy from Select Blinds again. The blinds were less that the measurement I ordered and the wand side and stack side were not as ordered.
These blinds were not cheap. Customer service told me they would remake them for what amounts to 10% less than I paid. Big deal! There really is no customer pleasing here. |

MY issue with Select Blinds is that their satisfaction guarentee and return policy is misleading.
I ordered 4 cellular shades that were not made well and of poor quality. When I called thier customer service to arrange return and a refund, I was told that the only way that could happen is if I would have ordered a color sample prior to the sale. What relevance a color sample has to construction quality is beyond me, but apparently Select Blinds uses that as a "loophole" to avoid returns/refunds of any kind. I advised Select Blinds, returned the blinds, disputed the charge with my credit card comany and am awaiting resolution. In the meantime SB re-shipped the blinds to me and I have refused delivery. |

I placed an order on August 18th, was supposed to ship on August 25th. August 26th, order status still says "in production, estimated shipping date August 25th". The "live help" on their website does not work, and they do not return emails. Tried to call customer service and got a recording that said basically "we are too busy to talk to you".... I spent over $1000 that was charged to my credit card the day I placed the order. It is totally uncacceptable to me that I cannot get in touch with a customer service rep !!
Will post another review if and when I receive my blinds! |

I ordered 2 woven wood blinds from this company after pricing other competing retailers. Do not let their discount price suck you in! It took over 3 weeks to receive my order. After repeated calls, which took a minimum of 15 minutes on hold every time to get through, I was given a different explanation each time. When it finaly did arrive the shade was warped, one was 3/4" longer than the other and the draw cords were uneven which caused the shade to hang crooked when drawn. I am still awaiting a call/email with my return authorization to I can get a refund. After reading the other posts here, I may be in for a long wait!

I ordered two sets of blinds. They never sent the required email detailing my order (but are able to send me junk mail). They were a little late (about one week). The order was inaccurate, and they sent the wrong blinds. Their customer service was terrible. The first individual told me that they often had problems like mine, and just changed order companies because of these sorts of problems. They told me that if they send the wrong item that it is the customer's problem. The second person I talked to said that they would not fix the problem, but also tried to get me to agree to things that were not true.

I ordered 2 pairs of blinds from SelectBlinds. One pair was shipped 4 days later, as was promised by their site. The other pair, having no such promise, still has not shipped almost a month later according to their order status. I have called their 24-hour "Customer Care" line three times, with them twice promising to call me back (which they never did). On the most recent call, the representative on the line let me in on the little secret that their 24-hour "Customer Care" line is really only for taking orders. To talk to actual customer service, they need to e-mail the actual company that manufactures the blinds -- if the manufacturer don't respond to the e-mail, the "Customer Care" people can't help you. I'm hoping the Better Business Bureau has better luck in helping me with this order.
P.S. -- SelectBlinds also e-mails your order status with your password in unencrypted text in the body of the e-mail. This should not be considered a secure site for ordering. |

Everything went very smoothly with my two orders from Selectblinds. I first ordered samples which arrived faster than competitors. I then ordered my custom "Designer Faux-Wood Vertical Blinds" on 1 December 2008 and received them on 10 December, earlier than the order information in my account said. Everything arrived in good condition with all parts and well packaged. Blinds appear to be good quality and installed easily with easy-to-follow directions.

Beware of their return policy. I purchased two 21/2 inch signature wood blinds, no holes and both of them become inoperative after using them for 2-3 months. I reported the case to Select Blinds and requested the return or replacement of these blinds.
My request for the return or replacement was denied, and they advised me that they would repair the blinds at no cost to me, but shipping the blinds back for repair will be my responsibility. This is ridiculous. In conclusion - I do not suggest buying blinds from Select Blinds unless they improve or revise their return policy, and improve their product quality. |

I ordered two blinds, one vertical and one horizontal. The verticals arrived quickly but the valance had deep scratches in several places. Eight of the vanes had dents on the edge that looked like they had been hit with a hammer. The vane on the top of the bundle had multiple scratches. No damage was found on the shipping box. No bubble wrap was used to cushion the contents. The horizontal blinds came a few days later and were well packaged with no damage. I installed them and pulled on the control cord to lower the blinds. A piece of metal inside the headrail started to rattle around and the blinds would not lower. Multiple, unproductive e-mails to the company. Gee, do you think they might be stalling until that 30 guarantee period is over? Horrible products and poor service. Stay away!!!

Horrible. They offer many products and you must dig for what you are looking for. They bank on the fact that they are part of the home makeover series, however their guarantee and terms and conditions are buried in their site. Be careful when dealing with them as they tell you that you've agreed to these when purchasing through them, however can't provide you with any back up to substantiate this statement.

Ordered 2 light-flitering single cell cellular shades. Received them 3 weeks later. One headrail was not level. Waited additional 3 weeks for replacement. In the meantime return shipping label that was emailed to me expired. Keep being told that someone will get back to me within a certain time-frame, and it doesn't happen. I just completely my 9th phone call since this process began. Perhaps everything will work out, but honestly, I don't know how much longer this is going to go on. The single cell shades that are proclaimed to be efficient in keeping heat or cold out, bring in a great deal of heat from the sun. Although the price was better than other websites, I presently do not recommend this company for their lack of follow-up and for their lack of handling matters in a timely way. Like the top-down bottom-up feature for privacy.

If you are planning, you will not get your order earlier then the very last moment that they can put you off. When you call the Customer service number you get a subcontracted generic rep who can only tell you the basics about the order you placed. Information that you already have. They cannot do anything to help you get your order or fix any problem. I'd like to give the company an F-, but Have to give an incomplete. Because they still haven't completed the work. |

We ordered 10 2"premium wood blinds from them and they were super easy to order... with friendly help even late night with online and phone ordering...
We got our blinds in a timely manner and all were in awesome condition. They were hung easily and look beautiful. They only needed slight adjustment for smooth and even up and down pulling, but once all of the wood slats were in the correct grooves and the string was slightly adjusted they are working as expected. I would use them again!! They were the best price by far and we saved tons with them!! |

I placed an order several months ago with Select Blinds and thought I would place another order to complete my home. On my first order I ran into some problems with my blinds. The had some knicks on them and I had a hard time getting someone to call me back. This time I decided to check prices with several different sites and noticed that Select Blinds appeared cheaper with my smaller sizes when I compared them to other sites. However, when I priced out all of my blinds they were not the best deal. Make sure to price out all of your blinds before you order. This time I ordered from another website and found them for quite a bit cheaper for what appears to be the same product.

You can't believe how wonderful my new blinds look. My daughter and I have just finished putting them all up. They absolutely fit like a glove. You would think that we shared paint information because the wooden valence matches my woodwork perfectly. I priced blinds all over, locally, Lexington, KY and the web. You saved me about $1000. I received my wood blinds on November 7. We installed them the next day and I LOVE THEM! The measurements were perfect, which I was a little nervous about. I guess because, when ordering custom blinds it's always a little scary that they won't be right. Everything was great and I really like the look of the blinds. Purchased blinds from select blinds with motorized tilt and remote. Received the blinds after about a week, there was no remote or motor with the blinds. Also the valance was too short for the blinds. Called customer service and they said they would take care of it. Received another package from them about a week later, which only contained a new valance. Called customer service again and asked about the motor and remote. They said they would have to get back with me. Waited a week and called back again and same thing. Told them that I was sending the blinds back and expected to get my money back. Returned the blinds to them and they did not credit my account. Called them again and asked about my refund, they would have to get back with me. Had to call my credit card company with receipt for the return as well as some other information about the transaction. I had had pretty good success with them in the past but after this experience I refuse to do business with them again.
