Sears.com is the worst. I normally buy at our local store, which is generally quite good for product availability and service. However, recently I was unable to get there and wanted to take advantage of a sale before it expired so I ordered the item

No customer service, no product, a complete Rip-Off!!

I ordered an outdoor shed from Sears.com with the website claiming delivery within 3-5 days. More than 2 weeks later I have yet to receive anything in the way of the product, a phone call explaining what the delay is all about, or even a simple email telling me what is going on.
Calls to customer service and the local store were nothing but frustrating. They were sure quick to charge my credit card though. It was charged over 2 weeks ago and I have nothing, no product, no explanation, nothing. Never, ever, ever, ever buy anything from Sears!!! |

Horrible experience - shop elsewhere!

I made the mistake of ordering a set of patio furniture on sears.com. I received a confirmation of my order shortly afterward. When I did not receive a notification that the merchandise was available for pickup in the store within the specified timeframe, I called customer service.
After about 30 minutes on the phone I was connected with a supervisor who advised me that the order was never processed and that the set I ordered was now out of stock for the season. He then hung up on me. This is not the first bad experience that I have had with Sears. It will be my last - I'm done with them! |

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD AT SEARS.COM

Bought over $7K in appliances from sears.com. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE AND LACK OF COMMUNICATION I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. I was repeatedly hung up on by customer service and continually transferred back and forth between departments as no one could help me. Needless to say my double wall oven does NOT work very well sitting in its crate in my living room a month after delivery

I did not place my order with Sears.com because I went to several website search engines that compare prices for the item I wanted. I found 5 sites that had the item for between $8-10. The exact same item; brand, color, everything was $94.98 at Sears.com. I thought surely it must be a mistake, but I went to the website and it was accurate.

I placed an order for a monitor friday and the confirmation email stated that it would ship saturday, now wednesday and has not ships. I am not allowed to cancel the order, they expect to pay for shipping charges back to them, and no reimbursement for shipping charges (understandable). There is also a 15% restocking fee, i called to cancel many times and was told i could not, spoke to many people just getting the run around. 10-14 days in unacceptable turnaround to receive an item especially since i payed for Expedited shipping. This is the second time i have used sears online, the first was no better, bought a laptop and got something different then what i ordered and poorly packed. Rude customer service. Been a member since 1964 now going to close my account!

NEVER SHOP SEARS PARTS. THEY HAVE THE RUDEST CUSTOMER SERVICE
by ben1411, June 14, 2007
|
|||||||
|
I ordered a new cooking grate for my Kenmore gas grill. I ordered the correct part, however the wrong part was shipped to me. The correct part number was listed on the invoice. To my dismay, when I contacted Sears Parts they were unhelpful and stated their policy.." Any time a customer orders a wrong part, it is the customers responsibility to get that part back to our shipping depot, in order to receive proper credit."
I didn't order the wrong part, sears sent the wrong part. They were unwilling to issue a prepaid call tag for pickup. After being bounced around to several people who claim to be supervisors, I quickly realized that Sears Parts Customer Service Representatives all sit in the same room and antagonize customers by repeating their "normal procedure" It seemed to me that when Sears merged with Kmart, the Sears customer service was replaced by Kmart employees and as a result conveys the image to me that it does not value its long term customers, and I ended up requesting a charge back on my credit card for item received that was different than expected. |

Terrible!!! I recently purchased an LG front loader washing machine. When the item was delivered, the installers broke my pipe, and now, in their words, "I'm denying your claim". I've called Sears.com and have come across nothing but rudeness, they seem to have a pat answer for everything, almost scripted, and no matter what you try to explain, they simply continue on with their speech. Unfortunately, Sears apparently uses subcontractors for their shipping and installation, and therefore don't consider themselves responsible for any damages, and so it is virtually impossible to find anybody who considers themselves responsible...the ultimate "pass-the-buck". Shame on Sears, a company that has, in the past, stood for quality and customer service.

We ordered a replacement part for our fridge going on the advice of a sears rep, the part did not fix our problem and since i sent the part back using their prepaid return label i have no proof i sent the part back and they can't find the returned part to credit my account, since then i was told even if i could prove i sent the part back since i installed the part ( which i am completely capable of doing) they won't give me my money back anyway. This was never mentioned when i ordered the part which is dirty of them ....what did they think i was going to do order a part and then call a repair person to install it? Never buy furniture from SEARS

Sears sucks!
I've had so many problems with them, OMG! ok, so I order these 3 pieces of furniture. 1st of all, it takes 5 weeks for it to come to me, then it arrives in 3 different packages in 3 different days. 1 package is missing parts, and another is completely damaged. For the missing parts it takes 2 weeks. It takes 10 days for them to reimburse me for the damaged one, I need to pay again with a credit card to re-order instead of them just applying the money from the first order. Then, it takes another 5 weeks for the new stuff to come to me. and guess what, it's missing parts. I hate SEARS so much after this, I can't even express it. never buy furniture from them! They suck! |

We had a horrible experience ordering our appliances through sears.com. They transferred it to a regular store and they didn't know what they were doing. In the end we ended up canceling our order and going elsewhere after multiple failures on their part. Although, if they would've gotten their act together their prices (after the 20% rebate) weren't too bad. Will NOT shop there again!

In April of 2006, I purchased all new appliances. I especially love my new washer and dryer(The OASIS) and my new Kenmore Elite range. Cooking on that stove is awesome!!! It's a whole new experience in cooking. I'm reluctant to say tho, that I do have a complaint about the stove's design. It seems when you're cooking, stuff splashes from your pans and ends up getting into the vents on the oven door and runs down the glass. So, you end up with a beautiful stove that looks like you never clean the glass. Also the raised enamel edge on the front of the glass top, will scratch and chip very easy. I try to be extra cautious so I don't harm it. If your design department ever comes up with a solution to either of these problems, I would like to be notified and would greatly appreciate any upgrade that you may have.
Respectively, Shirley Hack |

I have nothing but good things to say about my experiences with searshomecenter.com. On Monday, 1/29/07, I placed in order with searshomecenter.com for a twin-sized headboard. I received my order on Friday morning, 2/2/07. The order was accurate, and I was pleased with the delivery speed.
In December 2006, I ordered a bedrest as a Christmas gift. The order arrived quickly, and as an added bonus, a decorative, large cloth drawstring bag arrived with the bedrest to use for wrapping the gift. I have re-used that bag several times since then for other large items. In December, 2005, I ordered sheets and a comforter for my daughter's bed. Again, quick delivery, and it was a cute pattern. The Sears home center site is now the first place that I go for home goods. |

sears.com = a total and complete nightmare. Stay away
by mrgcat, January 13, 2007

I suggest anyone that wants to make an online purchase, stay away from sears.com. What an ordeal I had of plain incompetence. I have been waiting one month for a 9 inch under the counter TV, only to be given a daily run around of excuses, excuses and more excuses. The fact is, they took my money immediately upon transmission of the order and one month later, they can't come up with the TV or give me a credit on my credit card. Now, they're researching where the item is. I was supposed to have the item by Christmas. One month later, they're researching where it is?????? Their staff of Customer Service Reps is total incompetence. One young lady hung up on me after she couldn't answer my questions and became frustrated. If you're looking for an online store, this is NOT one you can expect to come through for you. This entire ordeal was a nightmare.

Will never spend another penny at Sears or Sears.com

My Kenmore fridge broke 2 months after the warranty expired such that we were w/o use altogether. Repairman came and ordered part and scheduled repair. A week and a half later they cancelled service call and said the part wouldn't be available for at least another week and a half. Their customer "no-service" rep was rude and unhelpful and I emailed regarding my disatisfaction via Sears.com. I was sent an email telling me I was valued as a customer, etc. and to call an 800 number to speak with a member of their management team. After another week and a half and no part, I called. What a waste of time. They were completely unhelpful. They want to just blame the manufacturer, but as I explained, I didn't buy my fridge from the manufacturer, I bought it from them and expect recourse from them. They also would not give me a number or email to call the manufacturer. When I told them we were out of pocket approx. $500 from the cost of their service agreement, eating out and ultimately buying another small fridge, they said it was my decision how to deal with the inconvenience.

Beware of buying from Sears.com
by epinid1234, January 1, 2007

Beware of ordering from the Sears.com website as the information in there is flat out wrong. I ordered a Flat screen LCD Sony TV (40 inches) from the Sears.com website on a Friday morning for Delivery on Wednesday. After 3 days, on the following Monday I got an email saying that the TV was unavailable for delivery !! - THis AFTER they had charged my credit card. I rang customer service who gave me to understand that the website does not accurately reflect the inventory ! I find the whole experience utterly ridiculous when a major company like Sears agrees to ship you an expensive electronics item ($ 2800), charges your card and then says that the item is unavailable after 3 days !! It was very important for me to get the TV on Wednesday and I can safely say that this is my last purchase from Sears/Sears.com

Never thought I would shop at Sears, and now I know that I never will do it again. I went to the store to buy a dresser, paid for it and then the store discovered that they had none left. The store manager called Sears.com to order me one. Paid for that one as well.
Sears.com were just here to deliver it, turned out to be the wrong dresser. When I called Sears.com I got the worst customer service representative ever. As far as I am concerned I haven't done anything wrong, I have paid for (twice) for an item they don't have in stock and all I get is a rude and very unhelpful customer service representative, and her manager was no better. I expected at least that Sears would offer to contact me when they got it back in stock, but no! I will never shop at Sears again. |
