I haven't written a review in a long time, but I have to sing praises for SameDayMusic. It's almost spooky how they have it all:

- great prices and selection (60-day price protection)
- free overnight shipping for purchases over $50
- no-questions-asked, 60-day return policy
- prompt and friendly customer service

I'm trying to figure out how they're going to stay in business like this...

I found a "warehouse resealed" Nord Stage 88 keyboard on SameDayMusic for way cheaper than the going new price, so I jumped on it, even though I assumed there was probably a catch - maybe it'd take weeks to ship, or never turn up at all (which was my experience with Music123.com); maybe it would arrive damaged or with accessories missing. The savings would be worth it anyway, though. Intrigued by the 60-day return policy, I also ordered a TC Helicon VoiceTone Create vocal effects unit and another synth, the microKorg, to try out.

Note on shipping: If you need your gear in a hurry, make sure your credit card has your shipping address on file. About 16 hours after I placed my order, I got an email from SameDayMusic saying I needed to confirm my shipping address, as it differed from my billing address and wasn't on file with my credit card. I called my bank and updated my info, then went to SameDayMusic's site to update my order status. Super easy, and I appreciated that they'd check for stuff like that. And after I fixed the address issue...

The Nord arrived THE NEXT DAY. Okay, I'm in Brooklyn and their warehouse is in New Jersey, but still. I never get free shipping this good. The keyboard was as advertised: packaging wasn't so pretty, but everything was in like-new shape and had all the cords, pedals etc. The microKorg arrived at the same time; the VoiceTone had been listed as backordered, so I didn't expect that to show up.

Later that day I got curious about the VoiceTone, though, so I went on SameDayMusic's live chat customer service to ask how long they thought the backorder would take. Someone logged on immediately and told me 2-3 weeks. Never mind then, I said, please cancel that part of my order. They promptly did so and sent me a confirmation email.

About a month later I realized I could borrow a friend's microKorg instead of having my own, so I called in and requested a return. Once again a real person picked up immediately and told me a return authorization would be issued within 24 hours. About an hour later the RMA number with instructions appeared in my inbox.

SameDayMusic is absolutely stunning in its customer service and generous policies. They're my new go-to place for all my music gear shopping.
