Ever on a quest to save a few bucks, I sometimes outsmart myself with convoluted schemes that may or may not pan out. After some hands on examination at Sears and some extensive reading of reviews, I decided to buy a specific Bissell carpet cleaner. The price for this model was in the 120's at some sites but at Amazon was 99 dollars and at Sales Innovations was 105. Both Amazon and Sales Innovations offered free shipping. Though I'm a frequent and quite satisfied Amazon shopper, I opted to make my purchase at Sales Innovations, a site I'd just discovered by sheer chance. Had I lost my cheapskate mind? Why in the world would I decide to pay more for the same item to a web store with which I had no previous experience?
Sales Innovations -You may not realize that you've shopped at Sales Innovations if the past if you've ever been a customer of ElitePetStore.com, EliteAirbed.com, EliteVacuumStore.com, and SelectKitchen.com. All of those sites were combined to form Sales Innovations and even more products have been added to give customers a better and wider selection of products.
On the left side of the home page are the three broad categories of products: Pet essentials, Kitchen essentials, and Home essentials. Under each group is a more specific listing of products. Clicking on one of the more specific groups does not present to to the reader an even narrower drop down menu. Some example product groups in Pet essentials are: Beds, Cat furniture, cleaning, dishes, furniture, gates, pens and ramps. Customers get a free pet tag with each pet product purchase.
If clicking on a category doesn't satisfy, there is a search engine on the home page that works well. Just type in a key word or brand name to get results. There's also a shop by brand link under the list of product categories. Click on the link and four pages of hot brand logos are presented alphabetically.
Navigating the site is quite easy though there is not an obvious link back to the home page. I discovered that clicking on the large Sales Innovations logo on the top left corner of the screen takes one back to the home page.
Accolades Sales Innovations is a member of the Better Business Bureau. It's also PayPal verified and a verified merchant of authorize.net. After a purchase the customer is invited to submit a review. You'll find many Epinions reviews of Sales-Innovations with most of the reviews being highly favorable. In my own experience I've found that Sales Innovations is very responsive to customer concerns and questions.
Shipping Ground shipping is free for orders over 99 dollars. For an extra charge expedited shipping is available. Orders are usually processed and shipped within a day unless otherwise noted at checkout.
Returns - Purchases have a thirty-day guarantee. Be sure to get a claim number before returning an item. The site offers no technical advice.
Selection and pricesI think that selection on the site is good though not as varied as a mega site like Amazon. You may find a limited number of brands here compared to other sites. For example the selection of vacuums is good though with a limited number of brands from which to choose. After comparing prices I found that the prices here are very competitive especially considering the free shipping policy for items over 99 dollars.
While browsing the offerings of pet ramps, an item I've shopped for at other sites, I found the choices and prices of these items are excellent, and I've seen several ramps I'm considering purchasing.
My Purchase Experience -I had decided to buy the Bissell QuickSteamer and would take advantage of a twenty-dollar rebate from Bissell. The only catch was that the appliance had to cost a hundred dollars or more. That's why I opted to pay a little more at Sales Unlimited for the appliance. I emailed Bissell to make sure this model qualified for the rebate. Days later I hadn't received a reply so I called Bissell only to have an android keep reading the rebate instructions to me instead of just telling me yes or no. An email to Sales Unlimited received a definitive reply within half an hour. That sealed the deal; I placed my order.
Ordering was smooth and easy. I like that the total cost with shipping is presented up front to the customer by Sales Unlimited. On many other venues the shipping charge information is revealed at the end of the ordering process. Immediately after ordering I received a confirmation with an order number. Shortly after that I received an email from Amanda informing me that the cleaner would be shipped direct from the Bissell warehouse, a circumstance that would delay shipping for
two or three days. This seemed reasonable.
On the third day after placing my order I received an email notice with a FedEx tracking number. Four days later the Bissell QuickSteamer was delivered. It was fun tracking the progress of this little bundle of joy.
Finally - I'm very pleased with the whole shopping experience at Sales Innovations. Navigation is smooth, prices are competitive, order placement is a no-brainer, shipping on orders over $99 is free, and delivery was on the date promised. I'll be back.
