False Advertising?

Watch out for their advertisement and sales schemes.  I received an e-mail from rugsusa.com for 50% off sale price items for the new years.  I went back on the site since I just ordered from them last week.  When I went on their site, they actually raised their base price so that the 50% off came to about the same price as before the sale!  I would beware of their promotional e-mails as they are not truthful.

EVER HEARD OF AN OUT OF STOCK BUTTON??? BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE!

Ordered 12/7 -credit card deducted and was told would receive a confirmation once shipped.  Two weeks goes by- no rug. I email them and they say its backordered two weeks until delivery. I wait two weeks..its now the end of December, no rug. I call them and they say its backordered for four more weeks (mind you they can't give me an estimated ship date they sound like contractors 2 weeks, 4 weeks whatever it is to put you off).  I asked to be refunded, they said they will but they need to email me a conf number they can't tell me...let's see if this happens. IF ITEMS ARE NOT IN STOCK AND ARENT EXPECTED FOR WEEKS, WHY CHARGE THE CUSTOMER IN FULL? PLACE AN OUT OF STOCK BUTTON ON YOUR WEBSITE AND SAVE CUSTOMERS THE HASSLE AS WELL AS YOUR COMPANY BAD REVIEWS. NEVER AGAIN, BAD BUSINESS PRACTICE.

Avoid. Don't trust their big inventory - they have nothing in stock.
They just take your money and try to pace an order somewhere for less. If they will find such place - you will get your rug, if not - they will keep silence for a month ignoring your emails and finally you will get a notice that "they are sorry". For me it took a month. I even got an email that my rug was shipped! Asked for tracking number - they ignored my emails. After 2 weeks I got a notice that if I want, I can get it in 3 month!

Check local stores, pay extra and save your nerves.

MISLEADING! Extra tax charge not shown before ordering.

Terrible experience.  I live in NY and did not know that I would be assessed sales tax until after I submitted the order.  The final confirmation page with the total cost DID NOT INCLUDE the sales tax.  Only after I hit submit, did I see my credit card was charged more.  I immediately called customer service to cancel the order, but was not refunded the full amound.  They have a $12.99 "processing" fee that was not refundable.  Total rip off.  Email to customer service created an auto-generated message which was never replied to.

Do not waste your time with this company

I ordered a rug on March 27 2008 and waited 2 to 3 weeks for delivery. Well I waited and waited for my rug,No rug. So I called them to see what was going on and my order was backed ordered and would have to wait another 2 to 3 weeks. Well I waited again for delivery and nothing. So I called back hoping for good news and they told me they got new shipment in and they would have to go through their inventory first then they would send my order out. It would take another 3 to 4 weeks this time. Well I waited again I even went on vacation for two weeks and nothing. So I called back and now the story is they no longer carry the item I order it's discontinued is what they said.What the hell is going on with these people. Please do not waste your time with this company. It took from March 27 2008 until July 1 2008 to find out that I wasn't getting what I ordered and they won't notify you of any changes ,you have to call them.

Unprofessional business practice and bad customer service

This company charges you at the time an order is placed, regardless of the availability of the product. This happened to me and after 2 weeks, they could not tell me when the item would ship. The sales people at first told me they could not issue a refund without confirming the cancellation through the manufacturer who they could not reach for several days but upon my insistence, they did end up refunding my money. It took me 2 phone calls to get the refund and the manager I spoke to the first time even lied to me about issuing my refund! They made it very difficult to receive a refund and made this an awful experience. I will NEVER shop there again nor would I ever recommend this business to anyone.

The rug pad was short by approximately six inches in each direction. The person at RugsUSA was very pleasant on the phone. He offered to take back the pad, paying for return shipping, or I could keep the pad and receive a credit equivalent to the shortage. I chose the credit and kept the pad. I have been quite satisfied with past purchases at this firm, and I will buy from it again.

I still have not received 1 rug. When I called to inquire about the missing rug they informed me that there was some sort of color issue. The website said green and the rug was light green. I asked if it looked the same as the website and they said yes. They should not have waited for me to call. I think this was just an excuse because they did not ship it yet. I am very disappointed with this level of service.

It is difficult to answer the above questions because I ordered 2 rugs on one order, but have only received one so far. It arrived in good condition and I'm very happy with it -- it looks just as shown on the website! The other rug has not arrived; I cancelled that order earlier today. I know sometimes it may take a little longer than typical to ship an item, but I would have liked to know what to expect. (Maybe this is a typical amount of time to wait for shipping? I'm just comparing to similar online sites for rugs.) I did contact customer service through email once and received a prompt, polite, and helpful reply. I really appreciated receiving good service in this area.

They sent the wrong color rug. They did not respond to my email requesting a response. I had to call them, and they told me UPS would pick up the wrong rug and ship it for me. UPS never contacted me about that, so I called RugsUSA back and was kept on hold repeatedly, even though I asked for a manager I was never connected with a manager, and was told they aren't in the practice of having UPS pick up wrong rugs. They finally cleared that up and then told me I'd get a refund, when I had said all along I wanted the correct color rug which is what I wanted to begin with! Terrible company. I will never ever buy from them again. I asked for a free rug pad for all the hassle and all they offered was a 10% discount.

On both of my two recent orders, I received email notification of shipment of complete orders. However, on each order one item was not shipped. When I called customer service, I received conflicting, inaccurate information. I did finally receive the correct product after multiple delays.

The price was excellent. I got an e-mail that my rug was shipped. When it didn't arrive, I checked the tracking number (I believe it was UPS, but I'm not sure), which indicated that my rug was shipped to Florida somewhere (I live in California). It was a Saturday so I could not contact Rugs USA. When I contacted Rugs USA early the next week, I was told the rug was back-ordered and would not ship until mid-October and that the tracking number in the e-mail sent to me was incorrect. The rep apologized and asked if I still wanted the rug or get a 15% discount. I took the discount and will look for my rug around the end of October. The rep at Rugs USA was very helpful.

The vendor for Rugs USA made a mistake and sent me a smaller rug than ordered. I contacted Rugs USA and their customer service rep., Natalee, was extremely helpful and professional. I liked the rug that I received so much that I kept it and re-ordered the rug I initially ordered. Rugs USA gave me 15% off of the second rug for the problem I encountered. I will definitely recommend Rugs USA to my friends.

Website indicated that the rug would ship in 3-5 business days. It didn't. Once it shipped, I was supposed to be able to track it on line. When I checked, all I got was that the order was in process. Website indicated that once shipped, I'd receive an email. I had to call customer service to inquire about my order...was told it had shipped..the cs rep said she'd send an email to me with a tracking number. I rec'd the rug a few days later and the email with the tracking number was rec'd after I received the rug.
