Customer service for RitzCamera.com is bad. I need to exchange my product and when I called I got disconnected three times. I then tried an online chat and was told I could do a refund only and order a new product. Five days later, I'm still waiting for a return label to mail it back. I would not buy from them again.

This was one of the worst online shopping experience's I've ever had. Their website promises no tax, but I was charged tax anyway. After speaking to a CSR for 1 hour, they finally promised to refund the tax. That was 2 weeks ago and I've yet to receive the refund. It's only a matter of time before RitzCamera.com has to shutter their doors like so many of their B&M stores have already done.

Dear Customer Service,
After seeing several ads for your store, I have decided to give you guys a shot for my D5 Mark II. Unfortunately I experienced a horrible experience from your call center in India. I hardly could understand your agents, and did not see any patient for service either. After asking to be transferred over to U.S, they simply hang up on me. After several attempts and call back to speak to the manager, I have experienced the same result as the manager hang up the phone me as well. I have decided to take my business elsewhere, at this point I was ready to even pay extra but receive proper customer service. And I managed to go to one of your competitors and receive a Superior customer service. I am very sorry that RitzCamera choose to sacrifice Customer Service to gain some profit by cost saving and transferring their customer service over to places that do not understand Customer Service. The India call center is totally unacceptable. even the chat line is totally unacceptable. I spent 5 hours of my precious time with the Indian folks. took less than 5 from the real Americans to answer my question.
If I can get through to the American people should I have problem or a question, I may be back.
"speaking" English and reading a script is NOT the same as understanding what is being said.

Ordered a gift card for Father's day to be delivered a week later...the email card was never delivered. Called and was guranteed another LATE delivery which was still never carried out. Finally had to just cancel the order. Customer service reps are very hard to understand, phone wait time is completely unacceptable...30 minutes on hold?? If my father had not of asked for this specifically I certainly would of hung up after 10 minutes. Very poor service....NO apology for not delivering gift on time or for no second attempt and still failed. Will not do business with Boather's World or recommend them.

Delivery speed was super fast on this order considering it was free. They also have excellent customer service. When I them on the phone and asked about tracking information they provided it an told me they were sorry that it didnt get sent out. Pricing is very competitive since they dont charge for shipping.

Advised agent not to send printer until camera shipped as printer was useless without camera. Ritz shipped the printer that day. Still no work on camera.

The only complaint I have is that the home page of Ritz Camera offered free shipping on purchases over $100. I ordered a digital camera - that came with a free printer. Because the camera and printer came in 2 separate boxes (not my choice) I was charged $6.95 for shipping. My total purchase was $926.24 - I should have received the free shipping.
If you say FREE - it should be free.

I got very stressed AFTER I ordered. I found out that all phone contact leads to India which means thick accents. When I ordered on the web my Paypal account acknowledged I was the biller and another person was the recipient; BUT I received a confirmation on email on my order and it said I was the biller AND the recipient. Since this was a gift and being sent 1200 miles away I was upset by this email. I called the toll-free number on your website to see what was going on. I could not understand the accent very well of the person I spoke to. I explained what happened and the person took down the address I told them it should be. It was rather difficult to communicate because of the accents. I requested a confirmation on email that the address was officially changed. I "thought" I was going to get a confirmation. A day goes by nothing. I call again and again request an email confirmation. I have no clue what was being said to me from the person because of the thick accent. I "hoped" it was a simply confirmation, but I received no email. Several times I went back on the website looking for information on my order stating who the package was being shipped to so I could confirm once and for all that it was being sent to the correct address. The order was there, but nothing else like recipient. I had no idea if the package was truly going to the recipient for several days until I saw it on tracking by the shipper. Happily the package was delivered successfully and in a timely manner.

I spoke with APU in India. I could not understand what he was saying. It took me twice as long as someone who spoke english to find the information. That was an adventure to nowhere. Your company would be excellent if only you weren't outsourcing.

I received my order on its estimated arrival date. The lens that was packaged with the camera was not operational. I have to ship it back to Topeka, Kansas even though I have a Kits Camera store--a subsidiary of Ritz Camera--locally, that had the same package deal on the same camera but I could not exchage the defective unit there. Thus it will be 10 -14 days before I get to use my camera.

We had planned a trip to Canada but GPS had no Canada maps so I ordered SD MEMORY CARD, CITY NAV. CANADA NT with 2 day shipping.
Three days later no SD Card. Contacted Ritz Camera Instant Service ? online. Total dud.
By the nature of the responses and the painfully slooow speed I assume the representative was in Bangladesh or India. Responses did not reflect the question asked and were canned and repetitive, obviously selected from a prepared generic script. Totally useless and uninformative.
Pretended not to understand when I asked the order to be canceled.
At this point I have no idea if the order was canceled. They do not have any way on their website to cancel an order.
I wouldn't do business with this clownish outfit if it were the last merchant on line.

I ordered the nikon d60 with 2VR lenses for $699 about 2weeks ago, then I didn't hear the status for shipping for few days. So, I wrote an email to Ritz about the status, then they came back and said my order is on back order and they can't guarentee the delivery date. Something like 2 - 4 weeks time period without the accurate information.
The problem that I have with this company is that they advertized on the their website about the product to sell, then when they received the order they don't have product to ship. No online companies ship the product after 4 weeks of order was placed. NEVER. |

I placed an order for this item, but two weeks later still had received neither the item, nor a notice of when it might be shipped. I logged onto the "chat" help site and eventually was told that the order had been canceled because the address on file against my name did not match either my billing or my shipping addresses. (The RitzCamera.com systems showed that Robert Beck lives in Irvine, California. If so, this is a different Robert Beck, as I live in Vancouver, British Columbia).
I placed the order a second time, but again received no notice of shipment or payment. Again I was told that the order had been canceled, this time because I had attempted to pay using PayPal, rather than "International Checkout." Previously, I have been able to use PayPal on several US and other international sites.
I ordered a third time, using "International Checkout," but during checkout received an automatic reply to the effect that the item is "not in our international database."
I gave up, did an online search for the item, and eventually found and ordered it from a competitor's website. The price was US$89.99, compared to US$148.99 on RitzCamera.com. It arrived yesterday and seems to be working well.
I won't be ordering from RitzCamera.com again.

Don't believe them when they confirm they will deliver by USPS. I gave them only a p o box address and specifically requested it be mailed, absolutely no ground carrier deliveries.They shipped to a vacant lot via Fed Ex! My wife saw a Fed Ex van wandering around the desert, stopping at each house on the road. He stopped at ours and asked if this was (the non-existent number) and she told him "no". He wandered around again for 10 minutes, returned and showed her the package...with my name and the street address of a vacant lot!

I requested the scanner be sent overnight shipping. When the scanner was shipped it was shipped out by ground. When I contacted customer service I was told there was nothing that could be done. I needed the scanner sent to me out of state, it did not arrive until I had already returned home. There was no apology or concern displayed about my not receiving my order when I needed it. Very poor customer service.

They told me the product was in stock and let me order. Then they said my CC was denied. Then they said it was OK. Then the website status didn't change for 2 days. I called and was told it had been cancelled because they do not carry the item any longer. I finally got an email about the item 2 days later.
Lousy customer service...I was disconnected 4 times while on hold to get to a CS rep.
I did not sign up for emails promotions, I NEVER do that. But a few days later I started getting emails. What gives?

I shopped at RitzCamera because the price was unbeatable. Overall, I was happy and would shop there again. However, the items I purchased triggered a fraud alert on my credit card even after I had to call and verify my identity directly to the merchant after placing the order. As well, the item said it would ship in 1 or 2 business days, but didn't really ship for about a week and a half. Still, overall, I am happy.
