Camera was in their ad but not in their stores. So, I ordered via internet. Extremely easy, no sales pressure on credit card confirmation, shipping was on time. Only merchant I've used recently that has a no-tamper seal on outside of package. Overall great.

Ritz Camera had the lowest price on the Nikon Coolpix I was looking for. Ordered the camera on line, with FREE shipping. They said that shipping would take 7-10 days. I got a UPS link in an e-mail the day after the order and it took me direct to UPS where I could almost tell the hour the camera would be delivered. I ordered this Nikon on 12/3 and it was delivered on 12/5. All items were received just as advertised. Would certainly shop at this web site again!

I was shopping for a digital camera for the Christmas and decided to get the Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC33 for my wife. The price from Ritz was good and no sale tax and shipping that's even better. I ordered the camera online and as usual I received an email asked me to call the customer service. They just wanted me to confirm the information and never push me to buy any more accessory or warranty. They told me it's in stock and when it would arrived, an email was sent next day to inform the camera was shipped with UPS tracking number. The package arrived on time in very good condition, the camera was packed with lots of bubble wrap for protection. One thing I like about the Ritz is in case anything wrong, I can bring the camera to a nearby Ritz store for exchange instead of sending it back. They also said full refund within 10 days for the camera.

Ordered a digital camera on line on 11-26, paid for 2nd business day delivery, expected it will arrive on 11-28. And today is 12-01, and I am still waiting. I checked the Order Status at their website. It said "item has been reserved" for the whole day of 11-26, and it was not even shipped until the afternoon of 11-28. It ruined my whole weekend since I expected to use the new camera for a local auto show. Will not recommend.

I tried today for more than an hour to get Ritz to honor their "low price guarantee" advertised on their as well this (epinions) web site. In a word...fergettabout it. They refused to honor the guarantee. In fact one sales associate even stated that they were in the process of changing the web site because they apparently have had trouble honoring their statements previously.

I also found another review on them dated last year. It appears that they have been playing this game for some time now suckering who knows how many other people into thinking they really have a low price guarantee.

If you are looking for honesty and integrity in an on-line retailer, look somewhere else! It is a shame that companies as big as Ritz choose to behave like this. This is one of the worst bait and switch schemes I have seen in a long, long time.

After shopping at several other online stores with very frustrating results it was a pleasure to shop with Ritz Camera. I called in my order and the salesman was very polite, which was a pleasant change from the other sites. I ordered a Canon Digital Rebel. The salesman indicated they had the camera in stock and could ship the next day. No hard sell on accessories, I was ask about a compact flash card which is not part of the factory package, I indicated that I had a card and the sale was completed. The camera shipped out the next day as promised and arrived on schedule. Thank you Ritz Camera for restoring my faith in honest online merchants.

Ritz does not stand behind the merchandise they sell!!!! I purchased a Canon camera and rechargeable battery pack Sept 29 from Ritz. I used the camera during the day when it arrived, with the recharged batteries. The next day the batteries were dead, so I figured I had done something wrong, put in regular batteries and recharged the dead ones. The regular batteries lasted weeks of occasional use. They finally ran out yesterday and I put in the recharged ones and took four pictures. Today I tried to take another (important) picture and the batteries were dead. I called Ritz to find out about replacement--the rep agreed they must be defective but said that I could only resolve it with the manufacturer. He refused to budge from that position, despite my pointing out that the online standard is to replace something defective, with post-paid return of the defective unit. I told him I would never purchase from Ritz again and would urge others to be aware of this lousy service policy as well.
