I will still waiting for answer from the warehouse on why was order was not fully shipped. Everytime I asked for a status update the warehouse had to contacted and that took a week if not longer to get answer from them. So I am not statisfied with the check order status since it required information an answer from the warehouse always to days.

It took over an hour to complete my order with the online chat representative. After taking all of that time, I got my email confirmation and then learned that the item was on back-order. I decided at that time to cancel my order and ended up purchasing a camera at Best Buy instead.

My husband and I called and chatted on line repeatedly with customer service. The people we talked to could not give us any idea when our printer was going to ship because "it was a special internet order". When it became clear that we were not going to be given any ship date, we asked to cancel the order so that we could buy it somewhere else. We did not want to have the printer show up later from Ritz, and pay to ship it back. We were told that we could not cancel the order because "it was a special internet order". Asking to speak to a manger did no good, as they repeated the same words as their employees. Luckily, we received an e-mail that the printer had been discontinued. We will never order from Ritz again and will tell all our friends of this experience.

We ordered a camera and a case for the camera. After a number of delays we were told that the camera was not available. This was confirmed when we finally went to Canon and were told that the camera was discontinued. However, Ritz emailed us that the case had been shipped. It was never received, possibly because I immediately emailed that we would not need the case if we couldn't get the camera. At any rate, the cost of the case was refunded to paypal, but not the shipping. I insisted that the shipping be refunded and finally got that refund, after convincing them I should not pay for an item that 1) never came, and 2) we could not use without the camera.

I bought a camera and a bunch of other things totally around $2,000. I got most of it and it was OK. But, I got a cable release that the connections were all wrong and a step down ring that turned out to be a step up ring. I sent 2 or 3 emails, then found the online chat and registered my problems there. I did this on 3 occasions and was told the 1st time I would receive a mailer in 24 hours, the 2nd person told me it would be 24 to 48 hours, the last one I talked to told me 5 to 8 days. Well, as of this date I have yet to receive the mailer to send this stuff back. I have received 2 email notifications (one for each item) that I have a refund coming. But, I suppose that because I haven't received the mailer or sent anything back I have not received a refund. As far as shopping with you in the future, I think that depends on the resolution of all this.

Your shipping company called with stalling tactics (checking my information which was exactly as I had first written it> and continued to stall time after time. They would not allow me to talk to a supervisor stating that the supervisor was very busy on important matters and he would only tell me what I had already heard!! MY TIME IS NOT IMPORTANT?!!!! I finally got very irate and told them that if they did not ship it immediately, I would require that they cancel the complete order. This was undoubtedly the worst service that I have ever recieved from Ritz Camera and I have purchased some very spendy items from you. I will never do business with you again!!!!!!!!!

Although my experience was great, I can see that should I ever need to contact customer service, it would prove to be a problem. I contacted a customer representative about when my item would ship and could tell that, if they did speak English, it was not their native tongue. We had problems communicating with each other over something as simple as a tracking number so I can't imagine trying to communicate over something more serious!

The customer service was absolutely terrible, and I would never consider purchasing from this merchant again.
(6/18) Upon closer review I realized the product was not exactly what I wanted, and within an hour of placing the order contacted customer service to cancel the order. They assured me that the order was canceled, and that they would send a message over to the shipping department to ensure that the order did not go out.
(6/19) 24 hours later, despite my cancellation, I received notification that my order had shipped. Once again I contacted customer support. Apparently despite having contacted customer service a full day in advance to the order shipping, the shipping department didn't "get the message in time". I was informed that I would need to refuse shipment when FedEx attempted to deliver, to have it sent back to the warehouse to process my refund. I did so.
(7/8) One week after the package had been returned to the warehouse (7/1), as confirmed by FedEx tracking, I still had not received a refund. I contacted customer service, and they informed me it may take 3-5 business days to process the refund.
(7/14) Six days later I had not received my refund, nor any other communications on the matter. So I contacted customer service again. At this point in time they indicated that it might be another 7-10 business days, and that they would forward a request along requesting that the refund be processed.
(7/16) Finally received my refund.

After this shopping experience I would never buy through ritz camera again. Their website is easy enough to navigate, but customers are not notified of any errors at the time of purchase; buyers are notified of problems via email, at which point it becomes his responsiblity to call in, be placed on hold numerous times and haggle with rude customer service representatives.
Their customer service pestered me with incessant phone calls and emails, their representatives were unqualified and gave incorrect or incomplete information. My order, which was placed on June 15th, did not arrive until July 13th because of their delays and poor service. Buyers beware.

Fortunately the 2nd customer service person was very helpful and answered all my questions. DO NOT SHOP AT RITZCAMERA.COM! It's easy to offer cheap prices when you don't deliver product. I paid for overnight shipping, and Ritz promised 1-2 day shipping but never shipped. The website still says "in stock" but the product was not. I found this out 3.5 days and 5 phone calls later. When I FINALLY got a "customer service" rep that was not outsourced, he said that Ritz had no plans to ship it because their suppier did not ship to Tennessee (???!). This was info that their overseas reps (who had promised "tomorrow" 3 days in a row) apparently did not have. The rep said they would have told me "eventually" via email. (I did receive an order cancellation 1 week after my "rush" order.) When I finally got the TRUTH, I ordered my TV mount from a competitor at 4:30 pm. Got it the next afternoon! Shame on you, Ritz!

First of all, they wouldn't ship my order to an address other than that used for my credit card statements. I wanted my order shipped to another party. Then when they finally agreed to that, they gave me a hassle about my credit card. As I was using a credit card from a Canadian bank (which by the way are more secure than American banks) the vendor made me fill out forms with confidential information and email them back. I had to do this several times. It is not secure. It is insulting. I've never had a problem using my credit card to make purchases in the States. All in all it took weeks to process my order. Once everything was processed, things went smoothly but I will never deal with them again. I just don't need the hassle.
