I was surprised at how long it took for the item to get to my door. I think they shipped it late. Had I known, I would have pre-ordered from a local store.

After receiving and reporting a defective guitar controller, I had to wait almost two weeks before I heard from the merchant. Since I ordered this on-line, I couldn't return it to the store. In the future, I might be more inclined to buy a product like this at a retailer so that I can make an immediate exchange if necessary.

the ps2 guitar hero wireless receiver did not work right out of box. tried to get it replaced through numerous emails..was a Christmas gift and my son wanted to play..after many days of back and forth emails with no resolution, i finally decided i would pay the 19.00 to buy a new receiver with an additional 8.99 for two day delivery..was billed for both, and product is out of stock,
what a nightmare, been on hold for 20 minutes writtting this review, how can you pay for 2 day delivery if product is out of stock and why was i billed? be careful with this company, and good luck if you have any problems |

WORST ONLINE SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!
by slohockey, November 10, 2007
|

|
This is one of THE WORST EXPERIENCES I've ever had shopping on-line.
Placed an order for TWO Guitar Hero 3s: one in PS3 format and one in Wii format. They shipped only the PS3 version, yet the shipping invoice states that both were supposed to be in the shipment. As soon as I opened the shipping box and saw that items were missing, I called leaving a voice message AND e-mailed their "Customer Support". That was OVER TWO WEEKS AGO now, and I have yet to receive ANY sort of response from RedOctane...not even an automated e-mail saying that they're reviewing my inquiry! Since my initial calls/e-mails, I've probably called and e-mailed again another 10-12 times...still with no response. I've already filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and have to look into other avenues of getting my money back! OH, and it shipped LATE TO BEGIN WITH! Great Game, just buy it through some other vendor!!! |

I thought that I received the games with a appropriate timing. In short, the games did not take that long to get to my house. It only took two days. However, returning the games was definitely a pain in the neck. Although shipping the games to my house

Horrible customer service, terrible delivery
by libaya, December 22, 2005

I ordered ignition pad 3.0 on 8/11/05 and it is 8/24 today and I have yet to receive it. I chose Supersaver shipping and it says 5-7 days for delivery BUT customer service said actually up to 28 days. I found this out after speaking to DHL 3x and went to my post office 2x and spoke with them 3x. Customer service was very rude "I've already apologized 4x!" he said. Company policy not to send 2nd one, even after I offered to have it charged to my credit card (the number of which they already have) if I don't return one of the pads. Company will only use DHL and not UPS or FedEx. I pointed out to the representative that his answers were fully formed, i.e. well thought out and explained everything so I confirmed with him that this is not the first time that he has encountered this situation. They have not remedied or at least warned customers on the web site of the actual ship time. At the very least, it seems that they could put a note or disclaimer for the Supersaver so that one could have the option to upgrade shipping.

Don't buy DDR pads from Red Octane!!!
by barney99, June 30, 2005

Review on Red Octane DDR pad for XBox - PLEASE, PLEASE PLEASE! DO NOT buy a pad from them. I spent almost $200 on 2 XBox pads and started having problems with the back button not responding within a week of ownership. I sent the pads back three times for replacement and each time, the pads degrade and the back buttons (always the back button) stop working quickly. Now they are refusing to replace the pads. I originally was satisfied with the CS and order accuracy but now, I would not recommend anyone purchasing these pads. The quality stinks
Overall satisfaction - POOR! |

Do They Have Any Customer Service At All? Do They Even Care?

Awhile back, I used a free 2-week trial to a game rental service (don't remember who) and found that only about 10% of the games I wanted were available without delay. I thought about checking into Red Octane and found their 5-at-a-time for $40 rather

Ordered the package that was supposed to have the DDR MAX2
game and Ignition pad 2.0. Received the pad but no game. Sent multiple email, voice msgs to cust support listed on RedOctane site and never got a response. Got on their "Live Chat" cust serv and finally talked with someone. Was told they would ship the game. Still no game 20 days after I ordered to product. Giving up and disputing the credit card charge with my bank. Will be filing a complaint with the FTC also. Buyer beware. You may not get what you paid for! |

Please note: this review is of Red Octane as a store, not as a game rental service.
I went to Red Octane looking for a dance mat for the video game Dance Dance Revolution. I was thrilled to discover a whole section just for DDR at their site, and wound up buying a package of everything I needed to do DDR for an excellent price. Ordering was simple and my product arrived far sooner than I expected. I have been very happy with my purchase. |

I signed up for RedOctane's G2 rental program in January 2003. I received my first game in April 2003. I had only put about 4 games in my queue and each game ranged from a "shirt-wait" to a "long-wait" status. At the beginning of April I added 1 game
