I had a terrible experience. Ordered an item on 12/8/05. Labeled in stock, 1-2 day shipping. Paid for 48 hour delivery. Not there on 12/13. Called customer service, told there was a warehouse problem. Was told it would be there by 12/15. It was not. Had to go out in a 7 inch snowstorm to buy alternate gift. Spoke to customer service on 12/15 about canceling the order. It arrived on 12/20 and now I have to put out the effort to ship it back. Terrible service and the live customer service folks did not do what they said they would.

As I recall the sizes that were given were S, M, L, XL. I think that you should also include specific measurements to with these sizes. I chose a L for my wife because she is tall, but when I gave her the lounge coat is was too small. I believe that if specific measurements were included I would not have to go through with the hassle of taking time of work to return the product.

They have unusual products. Their wrapping is lovely. Last Spring, I found a great graduation bracelet for my daughter. It wasn't the usual tacky graduation item that might be worn once. It was a toggle bracelet with a very tasteful 2005. She's worn it every day since!

I received an email stating there was a problem with my credit card and to call within 3 days to discuss or order would be cancelled. I called the same day I received the email and was told I had transposed 2 numbers on my credit card and that the order was already cancelled. I did not appreciate the fact that the 3 days meant nothing and the order had already been cancelled in far less than that time. This was not a positive experience for my first order with Red Envelope.

I got a swiss army knife, got it engraved, for a gift for Father's day. It arrived on time, wrapped perfect for gift giving (as we live overseas), perfect engraved. I shopped 3 times on line with them now and I am very happy with them! Will certainly shop there again!

I place an order with Red Envelope on December 11, 2004, more than enough time for a delivery to be made. Over the course of the next ten days, it took at least four telephone calls (forget trying their on-line customer service!) on MY part to find out (a) my credit card had been declined --- odd, given that I had received an order confirmation to my e-mail; (b) that the item had not shipped from the warehouse and NO ONE could explain why, but that they would offer me free shipping once it did get sent; and (c) ELEVEN days after the original order was placed, I was informed that the item I ordered was, in fact, on back order and probably not coming in again.

One of the WORST experience I have ever had with either an on-line or in store retailer! Never again.

I ordered three gifts from Red Envelope, two for christmas and one for valentine's day. They all arrived fairly fast, along with their red box and ivory bow. they looked very pretty and were exactly as pictured, although for some reason I thought one pendant would be a little bigger, but apparently that was my fault b/c I didn't read the description carefully enough.

Everything was smooth and I really like their gift selection, I just wish the red box was free.

HORRIBLE!!! I will never order anything from Red Envelope again. I ordered early, November 25, to ensure delivery by Christmas. I was so pleased to receive my purchase early - until I opened the box, and discovered that they sent the wrong gift. I contacted redEnvelope and was informed that my selection was now sold out until January. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to put the right order in a box, especially considering that 2 of their inspectors allegedly checked my order for accuracy. To add insult to injury, when I inquired about a refund and sent an email to complain, I was sent to standard "we will respond to you in one business day" email. Not only did I not get a response, but I had to contact their accounting department to find out when and if I had even been refunded my purchase price. I would strongly urge everyone to refrain from ordering anything from redEnvelope - I never will!
