Rainbow Appliance

The price was so attractive I called before placing my order and was told the grill was out of stock but would only be delayed by a week. So I placed my order. Each week I was told the same thing -- next week, maybe. Meanwhile, I can buy this grill anywhere for more money. I have canceled my order and making the purchase with a reputable company. They disappointed me for Father's Day, I won't let them ruin our July 4th.

I ordered a refrigerator and after more than a week went by with no sort of communication from the merchant, I called about my order. The girl was very short and agitated on the phone as if I was interrupting something else. She told me that she couldn't tell me what was going on with my order and that I would have to call back on Monday to speak with a manager. I called on Tuesday, talked with the same girl which I noticed the same attitude, and she told me that my product was discontinued. I am glad I called as who knows how long I would have waited before they would inform me of this. She was quick to have me try to find something else, however I decided I better just cancel and possibly pay a little more for the item, but receive better service. Luckily they hadn't pulled the money from my account yet so I didn't have to hassle with that.

Product was shipped very quickly. Customer service was fantastic. One small item damaged in shipping was ordered immediately and shipped directly to my home - no questions asked and no charge. I highly recommend Rainbow Appliance and will use them again if needed.

Placed the order on 5/17, the amount of $1198.00 was held as a purchase on my bank account for 6 days then put back into my account, I only got the order invoice via e-mail but never anything else, I e-mailed to find out the status of the order on 5/29 and still have not heard from them. So I believe they just don't have the product and are unwilling to contact me so I assume there is no order now.

Shipping was extremely fast. I placed the order on Monday, on Tuesday I got a call from the shipper that they would arrive the following day. The appliances were brought into the garage 15' from where they were to be installed. The price was about the best around, and with the low, combined shipping and rebate, it was a steal.

After the Premier gas stove was confirmed with an order number by Rainbow Appliance and charged to my credit card at the listed price, I was informed the price increased $150. I agreed to pay the difference. After 2 months, I still did not have the unit. I was told it was back ordered, sitting in the warehouse, etc. I finally called Premier and was told that the unit had never been ordered.

Ordered on April 3rd. On April 7th I contacted by email asking for a ship date. On April 14 I was contacted via email by Rainbow asking if I was still interested in the purchase. April 15th I responeded via email saying I was still interested. On April 17th was contacted via email asking to for me to call the sales rep Monday to make sure item was shipped Monday even though talked to service agent April 16th via phone. Sent email and called Service agent to confirm still interested on April 20th. Contacted by Rainbow on April 24th item was to be shipped on April 24th. Called Rainbow April 31st asking when item was to arrive. Told by Rainbow item was backordered yet again. I cancelled order. I will not attempt to purchase from Rainbow again. Recommend others stay away.

I was initially apprehensive about ordering online but rainbow appliance's helpful staff helped ease my fears. After a horrid experience at a local big box store, I was glad to see I had options. Rainbow appliance is a great place to buy air conditioners. They had hundreds of models to choose from. The helpful staff is knowledgeable enough to keep me from feeling overwhelmed. Also all of their appliances are categorized well. Next time I need a Blu ray player tv dishwasher microwave or anything else I will contact rainbow appliance. They are friendly and willing to match any price. The free safety chef they gave me is what really turned a good pleasant experience into a great one. I never expected to write a review about my appliance purchase but getting something free did it for me. That safety chef is awesome. I had no fire extinguisher in my kitchen getting one as a gift has helped me feel safe and secure. Thank you rainbow appliance. Companies that take care of their customers should do well and I hope this helps. Please post this review in your appliance category

I ordered the LP 24" bottom freezer refrigerator online on 3/15/09.  Very easy online ordering process.  When the charged hadn't been posted to my account in a few days, I called to find out why.  The woman I spoke with was very pleasant and helpful and was able to tell me within a few minutes that it was on a 2 week back order, my account wouldn't be charged until the order was filled.  Turns out that it came in sooner than the anticipated 2 weeks and was delivered by their local delivery service (since I'm in NJ).  Their delivery people were courteous and professional.  All in all, a very positive experience.

I like the prices and selection, but once the order is complete you have no way to track your order unless calling customer service for the information. A link should be added to track orders that have been placed.

Worst online shopping experience I've ever had. I placed an order, never received acknowledgement of my order, had to ask for a confirmation to me e-mailed. Never heard again, had to contact them to see if my item shipped, only then was told that they were waiting for the item to come in..but would be shipped the beginning of the following week. The following week comes, I e-mailed them to see if item shipped...no response. By the end of the week, I called..left a message asking for my order to be canceled. Followed up by e-mailing my request to them and asked them to please confirm that they rec'd the cancelation request. I never heard from them. This is a company with REALLY bad customer care....how can they sell things that they do not have, better yet...how do they not contact the customer to let them know what is going on?

Overall very satisfied with the Rainbow Appliance website for purchase of my home appliance. Easy to find the product I was looking for, great pricing, easy checkout. I was able to locate a promotional code and the code was easily update during checkout and accepted for great savings. I am currently awaiting delivery, but still within the delivery timeframe. I searched several web links that allowed access to and showed pricing for Rainbow Appliance.  The web search was quick and easy and I was able to get the best price available for Rainbow Appliance. My order was placed and I received prompt confirmation of my order acknowledgement as expected by the Rainbow Appliance website.

Ordered a TV 03/11/2009 and received an invoice/order number via email the same day.  Nothing more.  I called to check status on 03/19/2009 and talked (?) to a completely unprofessional lady in Customer Service (?) (she didn't even seem to be sure that was her department).  She mumbled alot and was incoherent at times and I finally got her to look up the order number and say the TV would be available in a week or two.  I canceled the order which didn't seem to matter to her at all (hopefully she followed through on her end and, in fact, canceled the order).  Since my credit card hasn't been charged yet I feel lucky.  I'm monitoring that account daily just in case.

Not only did Rainbow Appliance ship our order quickly but upon phoning to check the status of our order the staff was most courteous and helpful.  It was a pleasure doing business with Rainbow Appliance and I would gladly do business with them in the future.  Our product arrived promptly, we received exactly what we ordered and were anticipating and we couldn't be happier!

When I called to ask questions, I always got a knowledgeable sales person.  That is why I chose to order with them (you got to deal with real people).  Not only was the price great, they had just what we needed and they really knew how to help me.  Service with Rainbow Appliance was top notch.  They were helpful when I ordered, the shipment came faster than expected and the shipping company they used was great.  The trucking company called to schedule a delivery, but I was in such a hurry for these air conditioners because we had a closing coming up on the place where we were to install them, so they were even helpful in allowing me to pick up my merchandise directly with good directions and everything.

My experience at Rainbow Appliances was terrific! It was so easy to browse through their online store.  My fiance and I were looking for a top load washer and dryer all black, we were able to narrow down our search by entering in the top load washer then even narrow it down to only all black appliances. We compared several stores including sears, hh gregg, best buy, lowes, and home depot and rainbow was the cheapest for what we were looking for. Check out was a breeze we were able to calculate shipping based on our zip code before checkout then the only price we were charged was what was displayed next to the item no taxes and no hidden fees! Delivery was fast we received our order in 4 business days. Our appliances arrived in excellent condition. I would definitely recommend Rainbow Appliances and order from them in the future.

The battery on my wifes stick vacuum was getting week so she asked me to look for a new one. I typed "Eletrolux stick vacuum" into a popular search engine and started browsing through the results. I came across the Rainbow Appliance web sight and decided to check it out.
The Rainbow Appliance web site is easy to navigate. They had the item I was searching for in stock and at the best price.
They accept paypal, which gives me an added level of security.

JUST AWFUL!  I ordered a washer 17 days ago from their website...just this morning they inform me that it is out of stock! This is after days and days of Eli, the crappiest customer care representative on earth, promising me in email after email, that it was shipping by the end of the week.  Then this morning he cancels the order and blames the manufacturer for unreliable communication.  UNBELIEVEABLE.  NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE IDIOTS!

I ordered a refrigerator online from Rainbow Appliances, and followed up with a call the next day. The order was received and the refrigerator shipped in timely fashion. I received the refrigerator quickly, and in mint excellent condition. Customer service and communication were good throughout, as were the appliance and shipping prices.

I was happy with the service and order, but the delivery wasn't across threshold as promised.

To be more specific, my order arrived in 7 to 10 working days, as promised. The order was correct, and I was e-mailed a link so I could track its progress across the country. It arrived in good condition.

The only disappointment was that, while the Rainbow Appliance website promised delivery across the threshold, the Roadway delivery driver refused to take the appliance inside--he said it was against their policy to deliver into houses. So instead of moving the range across the kitchen, we had to get it up two porch steps, through the door, then across the kitchen.

My shopping experience at Rainbow Appliance was very positive.  First, I researched the item on line and found that they had a very good price -- possibly the best price on the net.  Second, the salesperson I dealt with was professional and knowledgeable.  Third, the order was easy to place.  I ordered on a Wednesday, and was told the item would arrive across the country in about a week and a half.  Lastly, I was called two days later -- on Friday, and told the item would be delivered the following Monday, which it was.  All was easy and with no problems.  I would have no hesitation in purchasing from Rainbow Appliance in the future.

I've purchased 2 of my major appliances at Rainbow Appliance in the past year. The first purchase was for a Stainless Steel free standing range. I first came upon the site doing a "cheapest price" search, and Rainbow had the best price. I was hesitant to buy an appliance online, as I had never done so before, but I decided to give it a try. I received shipping information about 2 days after my order, and received a call from the freight company 5 days after I placed the order to make sure that the delivery date they had was acceptable. I received the range in great condition, no dents, marks, just beautiful! So now, about 8 months later, I purchased a stainless steel refrigerator for my kitchen from Rainbow also, and I've had the same great experience as before. If you're looking for a great price on appliances and want to save time and money on gas, shop at this place. You will not regret it!

The Sales person answered my initial question regarding shipping discount for multiple items. When placing the order the sales persons was very pleasant. She made sure the correct model numbers and colors were ordered. She quickly explained what was in stock and when shipping would occur.

This store's offers wonderful prices on name brand appliances. The product details are easy to read, and you are able to compare brands side by side on their website. The order and purchase process is simple and straight-forward. Phone calls are answered in timely fashion, but remember this is a warehouse and not some fancy store so but don't expect sugar-coated customer service - have a question, get an answer; no frills. Tracking your order is not as easy as some other sites. However, my order did arrive on-time, and the shipper called in advance to make sure someone would be home to accept the delivery. All in all, the discounts far out way the lack of frills. I'd recommend Rainbow Appliance; hands down beats buying retail locally.
