I got what I thought was a great deal on a TV from them on Ebay. (They are big sellers on Ebay now.) I should have known from the beginning that the deal was to good to be true. Their system would not let me check out and when I called the person that I had to speak with was never in. After several emails, I was told "Sale Canceled". After repeated attempts to get them to honor the sale, I was told that the item was damaged and that they could look for another one. I had never been given a total amount or been able to use their checkout system so I was not out any money. I eventually told them to go ahead and cancel the sale and gave them a generous NEUTRAL feedback as I was not actually out anything. They gave me a Negative and filed non-paying bidder on me. If you leave Negative or even Neutral they will leave Negative feedback on you. I would avoid them. There are better businesses to give your money to.

LIARS, CROOKS, DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE!

These people are awful. I received a washer that was damaged in transit because they did not mark the box and shipper stacked items on top of it. Rainbow submitted a claim and told me they would reimburse me for cost of new top panel (about $100). I have no idea how much of a claim they tried to submit to the shipping company. Rainbow refused to pay the $100 or pick up the damaged machine. They said I had to pay to return it to them! These people are liars. They don't return calls. They STINK! Don't buy from Rainbow Appliance on Ebay or anywhere else you see them advertising! Don't do it!

Very quick to New York City. They did not collect sales tax from me!!!

Customer service person explained to me that if I order by the end of the day, I get it next day delivered to my house. They apparently go to NYC and LI daily.

Their prices are good and they have the ability to provide excellent customer service with a small staff.

Rainbow's fast order response and quick delivery would be difficult to beat. Yellow Freight had our refrigerator enroute to California the following day after we placed the order. The shipment arrived exactly when promised and the Summit refrigerator was flawless. The quality and fit and finish of the refrigerator exceeded our expectations. Much like a commercial unit. Our museum will definitely be ordering again from Rainbow Appliance.

This company is awesome. I ordered 3 Appliances and had them shipped to Texas. They arrived 4 days later and everything was in excellent condition. Their driver brought everything right into my kitchen and helped me set it up. I am very satisfied with this transaction. GREAT appliance, GREAT price and GREAT customer service!

I usually never bother to leave feedback for anyone, but Rainbow Appliance is an exception. I ordered a full set of appliances from Rainbow Appliance. They did a fabulous job with the price and delivery, and their customer service was superb. My refrigerator arrived with a slight dent on the front of it (probably from the manufacture). At first I thought It would be nightmare to exchange it. I called Rainbow Appliance and told them I needed it replaced. The very next day someone was at my house with the replacement unit. I gotta say these guys are amazing with service. I recommend Rainbow Appliance to anyone and everyone.

Rotten customer service

Having read the rather mixed reviews, I thought I might be lucky and have a positive experience - silly me. The order was placed, the items were all in stock - according to the salesman. They weren't. The day after I was supposed to receive my washer & dryer, I called. It hadn't shipped, and they had no idea when the items might be available - I learned this after being on hold for 26 minutes. And they hadn't even bothered to call me or email to tell me about the problem.

Internet Scam Artists

STAY AWAY. First off, it took these guys around 3 weeks to deliver my order after claiming to have it in stock. Then, they neglected to tell me that they could not deliver the huge double wall oven I ordered into my home; they would leave it on the sidewalk. I had to fight with the delivery company to have them take it into the garage! But wait, it gets better... they have double-charged me on my credit card and when I disputed it, they are claiming that I in fact ordered two ovens!! These guys are a scam. Stay away.

I ordered a washing machine on-line from Rainbow since it looked like the most cost effective option. Upon completion of the purchase, I rang customer service to verify that no additional accessories were required for proper installation. The delivery time was efficient, being less than a week. It was only once the delivery driver reached the foot of my condominium complex that he informed me "We don't do stairs". I was left with a large appliance weighing 125 lbs., a flight of stairs and myself (whom weighs pretty close to that of the washing machine). Eventually I convinced another resident to carry the machine up the stairs, but not without pay. If I was properly informed prior to purchase of this stipulation, I could have calculated this cost into the purchase price. I am completely dissatisfied, and I haven't even opened the box to find out what damage is likely evident. I will keep you posted if there is in fact, damage, and let you know how I manage to get it down the stairs...

I was a bit scared of ordering from them, but it all worked out. The price savings was worth the risk I think. The guy that reassured me about risk of damage, etc., told me simply not to accept the delivery if there was any damage obvious. I think that was the key in my decision. I got a Kitchenaid gas range and stove (actually at ebay price). Awesome deal.

The guy I talked with by phone was helpful, and made sure prior to ordering it that it was in stock. I got his name from an ebay listing.

Delivery was fast - provided through Yellow Freight. They had some issues. No forklift available upon first try. That was a Fri after ordering it Monday by phone. I ultimately received it the next Monday. I still think it's pretty fast for interstate delivery (free) from NY to SC.

I purchased a refrigerator from Rainbow, and received exactly what I ordered, within the timeframe in which they said it would be delivered. The price was right up there with the best on the internet, and certainly far better than anything I could have obtained at a local appliance store. Rainbow did exactly what the original internet merchant (One-Click Appliances - See my separate review of them) was unable to do.

Rainbow Appliance delivered all my appliances to California in 3 days.They had the lowest price and the best service. They also offered me a huge discount on my order. They did a terrific job They double packed everything so there would be no damages. Driver brought everything into my house. Will definitely shop there again.

Service Makes the Difference (Plus Good Prices!)

Excellent service, plus very competitive prices - and reasonable shipping costs. Ordered a window/wall AC unit to replace one that went out in a rental property - needed it quickly and Rainbow said they had it in stock (as did several other sites). My problem was - how quickly could I get it? (without paying MORE for shipping than the cost of the unit!) Other sources could only give me a 10 day window. Spoke to a rep (Eli) on the phone who actually told me the actual date it would be delivered using normal shipping - plus, they don't charge credit card until it actually ships - this is a good thing, as it turns out the unit was actually held in the manufacturer's warehouse and did not ship when they said it would. Rainbow was very responsive and helpful in getting this resolved. Unit showed up about a week later than initially expected, but very pleased with Rainbow's responsiveness and service in helping to get shipping resolved - total price very reasonable in comparison to other sources.

Customer service needs work

They had by far the lowest combined price/shipping on a wine cellar unit. It arrived so damaged it wouldn't even run. This is the shipper's fault, not that of Rainbow, but Rainbow's customer service made the whole process rather painful.
First, they "drop-shipped" the item from the manufacturer. They did it in a good-hearted attempt to get the item to me faster. However, it took three calls to them to get a tracking number. Plus, they consistently gave me incorrect information on ship date and ETA.
To their credit, it took a month from the time I received it before I opened it up and determined that it was damaged. They still arranged immediately to have it shipped back and refunded.
Calling back to confirm the refund, however, required two calls and a 45-minute wait on hold.

All in all, they've got great prices and deal fairly with the customer, but their customer service needs a lot of work.

Rainbow Appliance promptly shipped the product and it arrived at my doorstep before the anticipated delivery date. Unfortunately, the product I ordered was damaged by the shipping company. However, Rainbow promptly shipped a new one right away to minimize the inconvenience. Although the damage was clearly no fault of their own, Rainbow Appliance took great care of me and made sure that a new product was on its way. Their customer service is top-notch and I would recommend the company to anyone who is in the market for an appliance.

I ordered an air conditioner that was advertised as in-stock. They called a couple of weeks later to say they did not have it in stock, then tried to sell me a different one. I ordered the air conditioner on 7/28/06, I checked their site today 8/29/06 and they still have the air conditioner advertised as in-stock!
It's obvious they use the bait and switch method of selling.
I will not shop there again.

The BEST on-line experience I have ever had! Lowest price found and delivery in less than 48 hours! I was so surprised when I went to the door at 7:30AM and it was my new dryer. The delivery charge was very low,they opened up all packing so I could examine, I am very happy with this company. In future, I will go to them first!!!
