I ordered a weber grill from this company to be delivered to Greece. While the order was placed instantly I emailed the company soon after because I made a mistake regarding the shipping option and wanted to change it. I pleased them to change my shipping option from fedex to usps (and of course pay the extra cost) because I know that fedex costs a lot more to pass through customs. After letting some time pass their first answer came and it was that they didn't ship with usps and they only use fedex, bang!! first lie - on their online order form there was a usps option. I quickly replied to them reminding them that they give usps as an option and they should spare me the money and trouble I would spend with fedex. Again waiting for quite some time for an answer they emailed me that they would use a lower value on they form and pay for my fedex broker customs fee. I trusted they would keep their word. When the package arrived at the airport, fedex called me to pay for it. They faxed me the analysis of what I should pay and bang!! there it was fedex fee 79,73euros apart from duty and government tax which was 60 + 25 euros respectively. Emailed the company several times to remind them of their word that I should pay for my government taxes and local duty and they should pay the fedex broker customs fee and the answer I kept getting was they didn't say anything about paying anything - second lie. Now I am let to pay 166euros total for their inwilligness to make a mere change of shipment on my order that would cost them nothing. I got furius and asked to send it back for a refund and their answer in exact words: Shipping both ways would be extremely expensive… and would be covered out of your refund.
Accept delivery and pay your duty to receive
Pay everything and accept your order or if you let it ship back to us you will lose everything. Nice going from a company that should respect the customer.
