I always have my items shipped to the store. It's free, plus it gives me an excuse to drive over there and spend 2 hrs browsing the rest of the in-store merchandise. Yippee!!! I love REI.

I originally chose ship to store, but the arrival date was ridiculously long considering it's going to a major store in a major city (Phoenix in this case), so I opted to pay the shipping costs. Ship to store option should be the quickest option.

Overall the shopping experience was just what I expected from a class store like REI. They had the product I wanted at a reasonable price. They shipped it to me and I got it in good condition in a reasonable time. I would love to use the ship to store option, but there isn't an REI store anywhere near me. That would really be nice.

Overall it was easier to search and compare products than some of the other sites I visited, and I was also able to find pretty much everything I was looking for (aside from some specific equipment) at REI.com, as opposed to the hit-and-miss selection of other sites. I appreciated the pictures and descriptions, as well as the adequate number of customer reviews. The site's layout is a plus too.

Buying a Labor Day sale item via the Web was reasonably straightforward, although I had to resort to "Live chat" to obtain the sale discount. It was caused by my error and resolved satisfactorily. The process to apply a sale discount could probably be improved.

I am happy to order from you over the internet. If you had a store in New York City I would probably go to it, but I don't think you have one. I first learned about your store when a friend on the west coast told me about it. That was many years ago and have used your catalog or website when I need camping or long underwear. Here in New York I am keeping the heat down and wearing long underwear half of the year to lower my carbon dioxide footprint.
