BEWARE OF PROFLOWERS SCAM !!
by js1968, September 12, 2008

Proflowers is an active participant in a scam/fraud……..
Proflowers uses misleading and unethical advertising practices that end up charging your credit card a monthly ongoing charge when you click on the free shipping offer or $10 off offers. It is VERY deceptive and done ON PURPOSE. I recently ordered some flowers for my wife for her birthday from Proflowers.com. A couple of months later I realized that I was being charged $14.95 a month from something called EasySaver…. Proflowers signed me up for this bogus/fraud money saver club thing. When I emailed Proflowers, I was told that I agreed to be signed up when I purchased the flowers. I really did not see this coming from what I thought was a legitimate business. I will NEVER buy from Proflowers again and no one else that I know will either... I will see to that. |

I have used Pro-Flowers online flower delivery service for several years until recently when I had a very bad experience with them stemming from a phishing-like promotion that they were involved in. To begin, I would like to say that previous orders

BAD EXPIERENCE. Google"proflowers and easy saver rewards"

ProFlowers should not be aloud to rip people off the way they do. I sent flowers to my sister. Two months later I started seeing charges of $14.95 on my credit card from some Easy Saver Rewards company.
THIS WILL HAPPEN TO YOU IF YOU USE THIS POOR EXCUSE FOR A COMPANY!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DO NOT USE PROFLOWERS. Google "proflowers easy saver rewards" and see all the people they have ripped off. When I emailed them to demand they remove those unauthorized charges they just gave me the run around and then had the nerve to bombard me with their spam! I despise this company. Something needs to be done about them. |

Proflowers uses classic deceptive pricing including huge hidden charges.

Holly Cow! $39.99 flowers actually cost $85!
I decided to try ProFlowers.com for my mom's birthday (which, this year, is the day before Mothers Day). On their site they have a nice potted gardenia for $39.99. There is no obvious note about other charges. Sure I expected to pay sales tax. Maybe a nominal delivery charge. But here is the confirmation I got today: Potted Gardenia $39.99 Premium Basket w/Bow $6.99 Happy Birthday Balloon n. $2.99 Courier Fuel Surcharge $4.93 Saturday Delivery $9.99 Std Express Delivery $14.99 Subtotal: $79.88 Tax: $5.19 Grand Total: $85.07 I could have ordered a beautiful exotic arrangement FedEx'ed from a Hawaiian grower for about the same. This will be my last transaction with ProFlowers. Not just because of the price. But because of the lack of price disclosure on their website. |

Proflowers.com is a dishonest scam artist. Do not shop there!!
by proflowersscam, July 7, 2008
|
|||||
|
Do NOT shop at Proflowers.com. The most important thing to consider when using a business is their honesty and Proflowers fails. When my order was complete I was offered a 10% coupon for my next purchase. Sounded good so I clicked on the offer. Proflowers then gave my credit card number to a third party company named Easy Saver who charged my credit card $14.95 PER MONTH for the 10% coupon. What a deal.
This is a huge scam and Proflowers is part of it and knowingly participating in it. Company's like this who scam their customers should be run out of business. There is no excuse for this kind of dishonesty. |

2 dozen dried out roses received; replacement order just as bad
by karmicdebt, June 17, 2008
|
|||||||
|
I received 2 dozen roses via ProFlowers from my friend in Hawai'i about 2 weeks ago, but the order arrived in very poor shape and the flowers never opened. Instead they just continued to get more and more dry and blackened, despite my having read and followed the care instructions. When my friend asked about the flowers, I had to tell her that they were very poor quality.
She contacted your company and told me that a replacement order was being sent. Today, FedEx delivered another ProFlowers box. Inside were one dozen mixed roses. These flowers also were in very poor condition, particularly the red ones. I am very disappointed and intend to tell all my friends and relatives that your company provides an inferior product and is not honorable about making good on guarantees. I have taken pictures of the flowers and intend to email them to my friend so that she can see your product's condition. I also intend to post the photos along with this story on a consumer website so that others may be advised of your product quality and the level of your concern regarding customer satisfaction. |

Beware of Scams if you Buy their Flowers
by roxyd, June 6, 2008

When shopping @ ProFlowers you may very well end up inadvertently signing up for two major scams. FreeShipping.com and Easy Saver. Just do a google search for either of these and you will see what I mean. DO NOT use this company, unless you want to spend your morning getting bogus credit card charges reversed.

I Had a great Experience with proflowers. The prices were competative (I have never yet found flowers i would call reasonable price...there's the economy for you though) and the delivery came when promised even a few days before mothers day. Granted i had selected a flexible 'this day or that day' arival time, so I cannot speak to the reliability of a more specific time. The flowers were beautiful and arived with instructions for care and many of the flowers still in buds for longer enjoyment.

ProFlowers - NEVER AGAIN!
by arizonakat, May 13, 2008

I ordered two beautiful bouquets from the website for Mother's Day, one was two dozen assorted roses, the other was described as a 'robust array' of 12 red tulips and 12 blue irises.
The 12 red tulips were 10 near-white premature buds less than an inch in size and the 10 irises were also buds. There were 4 fewer flowers than there should have been, not to mention that no actual flowers were received, just premature unopened buds. The leaves were mangled up & creased, the stems were bruised from the rubberbanding right below the buds. Needless to say, they weren't very attractive, looked nothing like the picture on the website and in fact were downright ugly. The roses were no better, bent stems from the banding, mangled leaves and the rose petals were already brown-tipped. Both sets of flowers were also shipped dry-stemmed which made them droopy as well as ugly. I sent an email to ProFlowers.com on 5/9/08 which included pictures of what was received that day directly beside what was advertised and requesting a refund. We are now 5 days without even a response. So, not only crappy flowers, but crappy customer service too. |

I have ordered from pro flowers twice. The first time was fine, but the second time was awful. I had sent flowers sent to my girlfriend, and they were delivered to the wrong house. Additionally, there rewards program has been charging my account 14.95 a month. I called my bank (bank of america), and they took a claim. They credited my account for the missing money. They are well aware of the fact that this is a scam. IF THIS HAPPENS TO YOU CALL YOUR BANK. DO NOT CALL THE NUMBER LISTED ON THE TRANSACTION. THEY WILL ASK YOU FOR MORE PERSONAL INFORMATION. THIS IS A KNOWN SCAM YOUR BANK WILL KNOW. DONT USE PROFLOWERS

Mother's Day Flowers for my wife- Flowers arrived with a broken Vase. Hardly as advertised. $96 dollars for some marginal flowers and a broken Vase. I could have gone to the grocery store and gotten a tremendous arrangement for half the price. Lesson learned. I e-mailed them and they offered to send another arrangement free. Too late. Also, don't get dupe by their "free shipping" scam. I was suspicious when they ask for a credit card number so I didn't do it. I responded to their e-mail and asked for a full refund.

The most disgusting, disappointing flower experience
by mikesopinions, May 9, 2008
|
|||||||
|
You know that wonderful feeling you get when your wife opens the door to a beautiful bouquet of roses? Forget it, because ProFlower roses come in a BOX and you have to assemble it yourself! And the beautiful expected card, with that well-thought out expression of love? It's the equivalent of a packing slip.
I am so disgusted with this order. First, they reel you in with a good price, then sucker punch you with an outrageous service fee. Turns out I could have ordered them locally for much less. Then, unlike FTD and others that contract a local flower shop to make and deliver the arrangement, they ship the flowers, in this case all the way across country, in an unrefrigerated box. It arrives in a plastic wrap like it was purchased at liquor store. My wife had to assemble her own flower arrangement. Then we couldn't even find the card, as it was glued to the box. Are you kidding me?? How fresh could flowers be when they're shipped across country? And let's not even start on the dissasterous environmental issue of this bouquet's carbon footprint. Don't buy your flowers here. |

They send a box not a beautiful vase arrangement
by shenay921, May 8, 2008

On the website I selected a beautiful arrangement of flowers in a vase, added the balloon and all for Mother's day. Come to find out they send my elderly mom a box with instructions on how to trim the flowers and arrange the display. I would NEVER have sent my mom a box for mother's day had I known. Very deceptive. When I complained they could care less. I could have gone to a local florist in that town had I known I was sending my mom do-it-yourself flower arrangement.

NEVER AGAIN
by maconi1, April 20, 2008

I also got slammed by the easy saver scam. I have ordered from proflowers.com for a few years with never a problem. Their deceptive practice by enrolling me in the easy saver scam and (without authorization) charging my credit card for a $10 discount on a future order caused them to lose a customer permanently. After you order, your credit card will be charged $1.95 by Encore Marketing, then $14.95 every month for the "privilege" of being in the Easy Saver Rewards Program, oh, and saving $10 on a future proflowers order.
I checked the fine print before doing it (didn't see any reference to a one time or monthly charge) and am not one to typically get slammed like this. I will use someone else for flowers from now on. It's too bad really, because their flowers were always well presented and made the wife happy. |
