I admit surprise when I checked Proflowers here and saw that ANYONE had rated them less than four stars. And it's not just because I've personally been so pleased with their on-time deliveries and the spectacular quality of the flowers. But over the last 3-4 years I've been using them several friends and family members who were initially recipients have themselves become customer/fans.
Throughout these years, I've heard precisely ONE complaint - it was about someone saying the flowers the sent lasted a disappointingly short amount of time - but it was relayed to me in the context of the buyer raving about how ProFlowers went overboard in making up for the disappointment.
I have only two gripes about ProFlowers, and the first is that one really has no idea of the approximate price until you've reached that point late in the ordering process where shipping is finally added, and that can easily boost the total by 25%.
The second is that the number of "special offers," "discounts" "free this or that" and "radio listener discounts" is endless, sometimes making it like trying to sort through cell phone pricing plans. Of course, it rarely fails that, I can't get THAT "free vase!" with that order of flowers, or that "listener discount" doesn't include that type of arrangement. Especially when you don't opt-out of the e-mail notices, the constant stream of pitches from them is irritating. Also, though you are given a chance to opt-out and unsubscribe, if allowed they share your info with a candy company that will deluge you with similar appeals.
Again, I give them credit for providing plenty of opportunities to "unsubscribe." But the endless "sales" and "special offers" is tiresome, and creates the impression of endless sales that are not really sales at all.
But these folks have always delivered flowers EXACTLY when they were due to arrive, precisely where they were supposed to go, and with flowers that have never once failed to garner gushing comments about how stunning they looked on arrival and how long they lasted. It's unfortunate their sales tactics are so off-putting, when their product and attention-to-detail service is enough to generate repeat business.
