While shopping for an engagement ring, I was surprised to the price that they offered for the quality that I had shopped around locally - so I placed an order. Unfortuneatly, I did not notice that the default ring size was for 6.5 when I needed a 5. After I placed the order, I immediately started a chat session with their customer service department who said no problem, that they would correct it to say a size 5. I know for a fact how their shopping cart works as I too run sites using OSCommerce, so I checked online to see if any notes where entered on my order - no notes. So I called and spoke with Lisa who said she was the one on the chat and she entered the notes into their "system". I was skeptical. I also said that since I was not going to be home when the order was being delivered, she said no problem that their shipping department would call be before shipping to confirm that I wanted the package held at the local FedEx office.
I called twice to confirm that this ring was going to be a size 5 and each time, Lisa again confirmed this. I sent in 3 emails to them, saying to please be sure to ship to FedEx office A and not B since office A was a lot closer to my work, where B was closer to my house, a distance of about 40 miles.
All of a sudden I saw that my order was shipped - and supplied 2 tracking numbers. I called Lisa again - and she indicated which one was correct - but it was going to FedEx office B instead of the office A I had requested. I confirmed AGAIN that the ring was size 5 and she said yes.
Well you can imagine what happened next, when I opened the package.... low and behold - size 6.5 - their customer service system is a joke!! I called and said that I could send the ring back... like I was going to waste more money on that. I called my credit card company to put a hold on the amount for a local ring size - which the credit card company did credit to me. The ring was beautiful - but don't count on getting any help from their customer service department who I can see is just one person - Lisa.
