I have found this site very helpful and quite accurate in most cases regarding Primestyle. Like most people, this has been my first major on-line purchase, thus very nerve-wracking. The non-existent customer service department really prays on one's insecurities regarding on-line purchasing. Right from the time I generated my order, alarm bells went off in my head. My expectation, based on other on-line retail experiences, is an order generation confirmation email.(these usually appear with in minutes) In my case, I waited very nervously for about an hour in anticipation and nothing appeared in my inbox. While waiting,I frantically went through all information I had provided to ensure I had made no errors. Everything appeared fine so I decided to call Primestyle. Just my luck, they had closed for the day and me being on the west coast, overlooked the 3 hour time difference. This really got me freaked out, so I decided to call my Credit Card company to see if the transaction had gone through. They did not know, because it generally takes up to 24 hours for transactions to update. As you may imagine, I did not sleep too well that night with all kinds of crazy thoughts in my head of online scam, credit fraud, etc. I got up with the sun and called Primestyle again and actually got a "Customer Service Rep" that tells me she doesn't see my order and their system takes a minimum of 24 hours to reflect a purchase. This really rattled me, so I called my credit card company again and was told the transaction went through. I had another day of panic checking my email and calling Primestyle for updates. Still nothing!! Finally the next day when I woke I received an email with a Fedex tracking number saying my order was processed and shipped. Sounds pretty quick... I went on the Fedex site and entered the number and tracking info for someone else and shipment details for four months prior. "Oh my God, I've been scammed!!!", raced through my head. I was on the computer and activated the online help desk desk and got someone right away. I typed a note explaining my situation and get a response of I'll be right with you five or six times over almost an hour. I then decided to call and kept getting their voicemail and left several messages requesting a call back. Being that I was at work, I had to take care of business and awaited a response. Late in the day I received an email with a service number saying they were responding to my request. This same process went on for three full days with no phone call and the same generic service reply email. When Friday rolled around I woke up to another email stating my order was shipped with a new Fedex number. I checked on the Fedex site and it said the waybill was generated with a delivery day date of Monday. I felt somewhat relieved until I checked again Friday night. It was reading that it was here in customs awaiting clearance. I then called Fedex to find out what the delay was. The explained to me that all their information was telling me was that Primestyle had generated a waybill and Fedex had not received any package from them. Their people also went on about is this a reputable company and put the fear of god into me once again. Of course Primestyle was closed over the weekend and I was left in complete panic mode for 48 hours not knowing what to do. When Monday finally arrived I called Primestyle and asked what was going on and they said it was shipped Friday and we gave you the tracking number. I explained that Fedex claimed that they have not received anything and all you have done is initiate the shipping documents. The agent then became very hostile and rude telling me that fedex is lying. I tried my best to hold my cool and asked her to check with shipping and see if it was still there. She said she would transfer me to him and "accidentally" hung up on me. This happened three times in a row and then finally asked for my info so he could call me. I really started to panic because I would think my info would be on her computer screen and she would ask to verify. I then immediately called Fedex and got a verty helpful and proactive agent that called Primestyle as well as the New York Fedex location and launched an internal tracking investigation. She assured me she would get answers and would call me first thing in the morning. Interestingly enough, as I kept checking the Fedex site, my package suddenly showed picked up by Fedex New York that evening. I kept tabs on the process and watched it make it's way across the country for much of the night. In the morning it showed being here and as promised, my phone rang and the woman from Fedex tells me the details. I asked her if she could flag it for me to pick up, which she did. I went and retrieved my ring without issue and was absolutely amazed at the quality and look. Primestyle definitely lived up to it's promise on it's product and delivery times. However,this has been a very scary experience, with a better than expected outcome. In my opinion, Primestyle needs to address it's commitment to customer service and provide accurate status updates to it's customers. An improved web site with an immediate confirmation of order is first and foremost. At the end of the day, I feel I made a great choice, product-wise, with Primestyle, but really question if all the stress and lost sleep is worth giving them my business or recommendation. All I can say, is if you want a quality product and are able to blindly give your personal and financial information to a company, without worry and no need of any assurances, then Primestyle is definitely for you!!!
