i ordered an engagement ring from primestyle, and then i wanted to cancel my order, but then learned that there isn't really a cancellation process...they can stop the order, but you will be charged a credit card transaction fee, which ranges from about 2-4% based on the credit card you used, and they claim this is non-refundable in the terms, so if you ordered a $5000 ring, and wanted to cancel, they would keep about $100-150 for processing your credit card, even if they didn't process your credit card, they will do it anyways within a few day even if you wanted to cancel, so once you submit your order, there is no going back, you will lose some money
so i told them to hold my order while i was deciding to continue with my order or not, i read so much about the bad service on epinions, and i'm starting to understand why...of the 5-7 emails i sent, they only replied once to my first email, which siad to give them a call when i wanted to cancel my order, and David said i would be charged a credit card transaction fee
about a week or two later, i decided to continue the order, and change the ring size from 6.5 to 5.5, and he made this change, and much to my surprise it shipped within 2 days and i got it within 4 days from the time i allowed the order to go thru
when it finally arrived, it arrived to the wrong address that i specified when i made the original order, i wanted it sent to my workplace cause i'm at work all day and nobody was home, and they shipped it to my home anyways, and didn't warm me about it, so i had to go pick it up from the fedex center, and when i opened the package, the ring was size 6.5, so the ring size was wrong, so they just ignored my request to change it to 5.5, and the receipt said an older date, as if they printed the request when i first ordered it and had no process in place for order change, so i had an old receipt, and it came with an appraisal, it was laminated and signed, and said valued at $7000 and signed by a GIA graduate, but it didn't look all that impressive in my opinion and a cheap-looking paper for an appraisal, then i looked at the ring itself, and the diamond was okay, and sparkling, but the ring construction itself was not so great, it wasn't perfectly smooth, and also, i could see where they tried to melt two pieces of metal together, and they didn't bother to smooth it out, and theres some gold sticking out that should have been scrapped offf, but it wasn't of course, so the ring itlsef was built poorly in my opinion, and the diamonds themselves wasn't too bad
so overall, i'm not sure if i would buy from them again, with the way the customer service responses to emails, which is hardly ever, and their cancellation policy, which there is none, and even though they have full refund, you'd still have to pay the credit card transaction fee, so you'll lose some money in the end, not really a full refund
so if you just want a ring, and know what you want, and won't change your order, then maybe maybe use primestyle, but if you know anything about the quality of things and may change your mind, avoid primestyle, in the end if i deicde to return this ring, even with their "full refund" and "customer satisfaction guarantee", reading other comments from other people, i'm almost afraid to try to return it, i probably won't use them again if i'm afraid of the quality and the ability to return it, just not sure about primestlye in the end, i don't know.

i just wanted to clarify a few things about the jewerly apprisal i received, i have never received one before, but this one i received was laminated and folded, but it was signed by the director and gia graduate of the 5th avenue gem inc company in new york, and i'm not sure if that place is legit or not, and it didn't come with a picture, but a description and statement of value, i will probably get my own apprisal to verify it, i have seen appraisals at the stores, and they look much cooler and authetic then this one..maybe i just dont know appraisals

i just visited a jeweler in a small town that my sister uses all the time and that she trusts...and he gave his opinion on the ring..and the amount he'd sell it for, i bought this ring from primestlye for about $1450, with the center diamond at 0.80CTW, and the jeweler said he'd sell it for at most $1900, only because the diamond was poorly cut, he said the color was an I or J, and it was J, and the clarity was an SI1 or SI2, and it was an SI1, but the carat of the center diamond appeared to be only 0.50CTW, and he said its possible it was an 0.80 only because the diamond was very thick, you see, the weight of the diamond may be 0.80, but the view from the top looked like it was only 0.50 because most of the weight was under the diamond, not on the surface where light can be reflected, he said we only got our money's worth, not ripped off either, but there was no great deal here, that i was misguided into thinking the top view would be a standard look of 0.80ctw, when most of that weight, is under the diamond, so now i know how primestyle does their business, give you what you pay for, and all this retail price crap, i dont trust it at all, dont trust their apprisal price or their diamond cuts, notice they never mention cut quality on most diamonds because it is likely poor, the ring does look nice, and i'll keep it just for that, but not recommend it to anyone else, because the cut was so bad to make it visually lose 0.30ct from the top view..
