BUYER BEWARE!!!
After spending the requisite time to find the right gift for my mom for Christmas this horrible company just cancelled the order with no notice whatsoever.
I ordered a FoodSaver on December 15, 2007 through Amazon with "PresentsForYou" supposedly fulfilling the order. This was to be received by Christmas at my house which was perfect. My mom is visiting for the Holidays and I was looking forward to having the gift here in time for Christmas morning.
When I had not received any update or notification by December 18, 2007 I sent an email requesting a status. This email was sent through Amazon's email service and they forwarded it to "PresentsForYou."
Today - December 21, 2007 - I received an email from Amazon stating:
----------------------------------
Greetings from Amazon.com,
We're sorry, but the following order from PresentsForYou has been canceled.
We apologize for any inconvenience.
----------------------------------
I have still not received ANY information from "PresentsForYou" but obviously it's now far too late to receive a gift for my mom via mail at this point. I've just now picked her up from the airport and she's at my house and I'm left with NO GIFT for her.
I'm discouraged and disgusted beyond belief at this horrible treatment that I've received from this company. I would advise anybody considering doing business with them to seriously RECONSIDER. If you DO order from them I would certainly order in plenty of time as they obviously have no problem with cancelling an order with no notice.
This may seem like a small issue to many people but last year my only child was murdered and I am having enough of a problem dealing with the "holidays" to not have to deal with yet one more problem.
My mom is incredibly understanding and says I don't have to worry about getting her a gift but she's done so much for me...
Anyway, I didn't intend for this to turn into a confessional but do want to warn others about the shoddy treatment I've received from this company with very questionable business practices.
