Love the Products but Disappointing Experience
Full review
I love the furniture at Pottery Barn, so when I bought my new home, I purchased several items that included the map console, media center, and entrance way locker. I spent a great deal of money on these items and the shipping cost was about $200. Not cheap. But I thought it was was worthwhile since they deliver them to your door completely assembled and ready to go. I had no idea that the ordeal would become such a hassle. Some of the items came right on time. HOwever, the items that were large and had to be delivered by a trucking company took an additional 4 weeks to deliver. when they finally arrived, one of the items was damaged. The wood had been chipped in various places. When I called Pottery Barn and complained, she said I shouldn't have accepted the item. After some harsh words, she agreed to contact the trucking company and have them pick up and replace the item. This would take another 2 weeks. I finally received all of my purchased items 8 weeks from my ordering date. My boyfriend was so enraged by the situation, he called the customer service again and spoke with their management. As a result, Pottery Barn sent a $150 gift certificate. I haven't had problems with their smaller items ever, but I don't think I'll be ordering any large items that have to assembled and shipped by a third party.
